I have hunted many ways and eaten rabbit. Its not bad when prepared well.

i hunt rabbits weekly with dogs.

I'd avoid jack rabbit if you can, cottontail is a bit better. Keep in mind they are both generally VERY tough but with some skill in the kitchen, you can make a good meal. Farm raised is a good option if you can find them.

This isn't the recipe I used years ago, but its pretty close.

toms or partridge are the only small game i hunt. rabbits aren't worth cleaning to me. too much work for too little meat.

They are ok in a stew, but that is about it IMO. Still fun to go out and kill a few once a year.
