Oh boy.
First, to the inital poster, we GOTTA have more info to give advice. Based off your post, the best advice for her is a clean diet, a solid workout plan, lotsa water, and rest. MAYBE a thermogenic. Then come back in a couple years to try drugs.
Drugs are not the answer. She won't get shit for results unless she eats clean and trains her ass off (literally!). Eat a ton of lean meat, fibrous carbs, healthy fats. I doubt her diet and training right now can justify taking a steroid.
Steroids don't give anyone a reason to slack off, they will not make up for a sloppy diet or half-ass training. If she isn't already dedicated, then F the steroids, she needs to reevaluate her priorities before starting to take AS.
Info to include on your girl - height, weight, exact BF%, training history, current workout (weights and cardio), diet information (plus sample day's diet), WHY does she want to add muscle? (does she want to compete? too look good in bikini?, because you want her to?, etc) , and anything else relevant.
Next, women CAN take steroids without becoming a man. It takes a LOT of research and common sense though. A women taking steroids will gain the same benefits as a man taking, as long as the correct training and diet is in place. Of course, that goes for both sexes. Where women get into trouble is not doing their OWN research, instead letting a man decide what they will take and how much.
Steroids can affect women different than man in some regards though. For example, Winny is NOT a cutting drug in *most* women. It will add muscle and bloat - not cut. It also has a tendency to add many unwanted sides to the female. Winny is typically NOT a good choice for the average female.
Anavar is the safest. REAL anavar. It offers the most anabolic with fewest sides. BUT, everyone is different and some women get sides even on a very low dose. Side affects are typically mild with Var, but can happen. When ever someone takes ANY AAS, they need to know what the possible effects are (good and bad) and decide what is worth it for them. Do the risks outweigh the benefit?
Var can be started at 5mg ED, stay there for 3-4 weeks, then bump up IF NEEDED. Most women can tolerate more, but if they are seeing results - why risk it? More is not always better. Start low, and slowly work up. Be safe, take things slow, or you WILL have a he-she on your hands.
And, as a side note, I am a female, have done several cycles, and am still as feminine as they come. I have had no sides (besides a little sex drive increase!!! ) AS and females is NOT a bad combination. It's when you add stupidity to that when you get trouble. Women can take AS safely (and NOT turn into a man), but it takes more patience and more research. We don't have a big margin of error! BUT, with that said, at the risk of sounding like a total hypocrit, I don't think most females should take AS. I think most females have a jacked-up diet (no fat, carb heavy, low protein) and shitty training routine (cardio bunny!). They could get more results without drgus and just cleaning up their diet.
Damn, I'm cranky today. Must be the hours upon hours of being at the Olympia this weekend!
