question about fat during diet to loose lower gut...... and stuff

okay is it good to consume 30grams of fat or more a day on a diet with low carbs about 50-60carbs a day
for examlple

meal1-1/2cup oats has 21carbs
meal2-protein shake
meal3-KFC Tender Roasted chicken Sandwich without mayo... about 31-33 carbs
meal4-chicken breast,efa
meal5-same as meal4,efa
meal6-protein shake or some eggwhites

i am 160,5'9 thx
 
First of all a 1/2 cup of oats is 27 grams not 21. Not sure where you got that number.

Secondly - you have more than 50 grams of carbs here for a daily total so, I think if your fat grams are that high, you are going to gain un wanted fat. Which I am guessing is not your goal.

My suggestion is to stop trying to figure out how to put KFC in your diet and work the percentages of over all calories to attain your goal.


Also when on a higher fat diet you should always focus on clean unsaturated fats, not saturated fats.
 
I gotta agree with missabs, first off cut that KFC. You'll never loose that last bit of fat eating out. Second, really look at your carbs vs. fat amounts. I've never done a ketosis diet like you're talking about, but i know it's not as simple as it first looks. You need to get all the hidden stuff out of your diet to get into ketosis. So start doing a lot of reading on it.
 
i only had 2 carb souces 1)1/2cup oats and 2)hamburger bun with grilled chicken from KFC nothing else on it
about 50grams carbs.........do i need more than 30g fat a day if carbs are low
 
First of all, I am getting a sense that you do not even understand TKD or CKD diets.

Let me clarify a few points: If you do not under stand how to properly construct your diet counting calories- then breaking them down into grams of protein, carbs and fats. My suggestion is you spend the next week or so really learning how much and what you are currently eating.
When you say you ""guess" it has "x" number of carbs in it, then that alarms me that you are truly guess and should not even consider a lower carb diet.

Work to eat clean healthy foods, with a good balance of protein, carbs and fats. Until you teach yourself how to eat balanced and clean all the fancy diet tricks, and rage diets are just going to get you in trouble long term.

When you ask if you should eat 30 grams of fats? I don't know, because I have no clue how many total calories that you are eating for the day, how many grams of protein that you are eating, and what it the total percentage of each to your total caloric intake.

Lets make this easy
1) Stop doing the low carb thing
2) Start counting daily calories- divided by the three macro nutritents protein, carbs and fats.
3) work to reduce all saturated fats from your diet except those found in your protein sources.
4) when you know what you are really eating in terms of numbers, then we can logically help you figure out what the heck is wrong with your diet compared to your goals.
