Question about drinking milk.

Would it be a good idea to consume milk instead of real food?

Sometimes I don't have time to cook a whole chicken so I drink milk instead for my protein. Is this okay? Should I eat a few pieces of wheat bread for the fiber when consuming just milk?

Drinking 3 cups of 2% milkyields me about 27g of protein at about 360 calories. Add the 80calories from the wheat bread that'll be perfect for a small meal/snack for me.

If thats all you have time for go for it, better to it this than nothing. And if you are not cutting I see nothing wrong with it.

whole milk, whole hard boiled eggs are extremely easy top quality protein sources. you still need the beef and chicken in there to though.

everyone says whole milk. Why? I know it contains more fat but besides that, what else does whole milk have that makes it superior to 2%?

to understand the greatness of whole milk i challenge you to drink 1gal of skim ed for 1 month then 1 gal whole ed for the next month and see what it does for muscle.

you put that in perspective. thank you, i'll give it a go. I will say consuming whole milk is more challenging than 2%.

Cow milk is potentially a good "anabolic food", but only if you can digest it worth a damn.

Raw milk definitely is anabolic though, and considerably more digestible b/c it's natural enzymes (which help you digest it) are still completely intact. It is from the distant memories of raw milk passed down from our grandparents that we are dimly aware of milk being good for building muscle.

Look here if you're game:

Where Can I Find Real (Raw) Milk?

I've had it. Not only does it taste much better than that cooked stuff you buy in the market, it lasts longer b/c it was never heated.

i keep a stash of lunch meat... roughly 6 grams of protein per slice... make about 3 sandwiches the night before and keep them at my desk in a lunchbox... jus a thought

RW is right on. whole milk is more anabolic than skim milk, 1%, 2%, or anything else.

drink it if you want your igf-1 levels to naturally go up and if you need to bulk up a bit.

don't believe me? read for your self

as arnold said, "I don't drink any milk. Milk is for babies. When you grow up, you drink beer."

lunch meat is highly processed garbage. home cooked chicken breast as a replacement in the sandwiches would be good. eat them on ezekeil bread with a handful of fresh spinach an onions in it and you have a complete quality meal

joe, i just love to eat 1lb of red meat with some honey mustard and lemon juice, 1lb of spinach with some mozzarella, and 1 large glass of chocolate milk. that is a dream bulking meal for me.

lol at the chocolate milk. i dont even let the kids get that syrup to often. it calls me. i once used a whole bottle of hershey chocolate syrup and 1.5 gal of milk between 6:am and 4:pm. i was on 100mg tren ed at the time and i couldnt pack it in fast enough. i ate a few meals in there along with it.

for chocolate milk now i just add a scoop of monster milk to a tall glass. tastes great.

Good points, another great source of quality milk GOATS. goat milk is awesome and is digested MUCH easier than cows milk. I am lactose intolerant and can attest to the ease of digestion from goats milk

wow..
u need a doctor to answer that question..
but it probably does..
if those meds keep you calm and relaxed.. then they probably do and drinking milk.. (warm milk mmm) Would probably knock u out..
but thats just my opinion..

Don't forget that milk contains a lot of saturated fat which is not good for your health in large amounts.

Thanks for that raw milk link, always wanted to try it but didn't think i would be able to source it.

"You must spread some Karma around (ie give karma to other members too) before giving it to RottenWillow again." huh ?

That's actually not factually correct.

While milk fat is roughly 65% saturated fats, the saturated fats in milk are short chained carbon rings..roughly 4 to 8 chains. It's long chain fatty acids that can cause heart disease.

Milk is mostly essential fatty acids with milk fat volume being roughly 4% of each gallon. The various process needed to create butter, cheese, and other milk based products is what begins to add longer chained fatty acids to the mix.

Fat is also related to how the cows are fed. We use organic feed and natural pasture grains in our cows. Hence, lower saturated fats to begin with.
