Protan and Face?

jnuts

When you put protan on does it also go on the face, or do you use some other kinda bronzer thing for that?

I've read the threads talking about the Protan, but I'm not quite sure about the face coverage part.

thanks.......

Only take pro-tan up to the jaw line (but be very careful and use lightly there). For the face I would buy a dark face powder. It looks more natural.

Ive had good success with Protan on my face. I guess it could have to do with how dry or oily ones skin is naturally or complexion or something though...

We ended up using using protan up to the neckline and then ban de soleil on the face.

Brick - she forgot the bronzing powder and she ended up being a little shiny on the face.

From the looks of it, though, the ban de soleil isn't really dark enough and she couldn't find any dark face powder in the stores that WAS dark enough.

Any ideas/brand names/colors to use?

Joe Blasco has every colour and shade of make-up you could ask for, it goes on smoothly, doesn't run, blends perfectly, and looks great. I used it to cover tattoos in my show, and on my face, and it worked great in both places. It's just a bit pricey, though ....

I did the regular "slap on the protan, sleep in it, shower in the morning" 3x but each day before the shower I put on a light layer of protan on my face (being VERY CAREFUL around eyes, etc), sat around for some time, then showered it all off. Lots of people seem to come out really washed out on their faces because of the question about how to get color on your face. Personally I'd recommend a little soak time w/ a light layer a couple times and then add in the darker makeup as well. Those damn lights can be harsh!
