You guys aren’t that far off base. It’s perfectly legal to throw your sharps in the trash—but they must be in a red sharps container. Only labs and doctors office’s have to worry about special disposal procedures due to the massive quantities of medical waste that they create. At least that’s the way it is here in Maryland.
