Privacy issues board?

For what it's worth... we've considered setting up a Privacy board, along the lines of Bodybuilding and the Law, where this sort of thing would be kept separate from all AAS discussion. This thread is for suggestions about what such a board might look like. Here are a few ideas to start with....

Anyone participating would have to be aware of the subtleties involved in speaking about hypothetical situations.

Among other things we'd hammer on knowing your (US) Constitutional rights, compare and contrast US vs EU privacy laws and regulations, that sort of thing. And some practical matters... such as how to keep your kids from hacking into your Netflix account :qt: or opening those little red envelopes before you get home.

idea's along the lines of using a usb drive with firefox installed on it, with a password protected access, or a biometric to authenticate access to the drive..

that sort of thing??

or search and seizure issues with the ability to say no to a Breathalyzer and still not lose your license??

and or political pressure being applied at the state and national level in regards to the ever eroding privacy issues that we now face

All of the above? That's the question. Also, does it need to be a new board, or just a thread here in ...and the Law?

Thing is as has been pointed out most eloquently over in the AAS board, there's a difference between discussing privacy issues and conspiring to violate the law.

sounds familiar lol

The only thing I see being an issue is that people don't really frequent the Law Forum, and I don't know that something like this would be successful, although it is a great idea and this kind of information needs to be on the site. Just a thought.

True.
