This is not news, this product was dispenced back in the 50's at the hieght of the cold war. I am not paranoid, or ignorant of the responcibility each of us has in todays world, I just thought some of the smarter members would like to know about this option, if you lived near a nuclear power plant many would all ready be aware of this product. Infact it was distributed immediately in the area around three mile island and US supplies diwndled down to almost nothing after Chernobyl happened in Russia, it saved many lives in the future as thyroid cancer has a really slow on set of desease.

I live not too far away from Hanford Washington, and guess what they make there? Most of the plants have been shut down thankfully, but radioactive iodine is bad news especially if you have children. It hits them hardest as their thyroids tend to consentrate this material worse then adults. It's just a thought some might wish to think about. I have mine. And it lasts on the shelf for many years. Dirt cheap.

Everybody I also urge you to stock up on vitamin A, its also dirtcheap. If forsome reason in the future vitamin A can no longer be obtained through foods you will thank me, you can go blind from vitamin A definciency. I would think that the smarter people would rather be prepared best stock 3-4 years worth just in case. Its dirt cheap. $12 will cover 3-4 years

Also Vitamin C, think about how its in everything its crazy our national vitamin C reserves are going to run out someday if we keep fortifying foods w/ 100% vit C all the time. I suggest stocking up on this aswell. Free radicals can cause cancer and when we run out only the smart ones whom prepared w/ VIT C stocks will be around. Its dirt cheap too might as well be prepared.

I'm also prettysure the terrorist are deploying a direct attack on riboflavon comepletely bleaching its contents from all sources now I'm not sure what it does but It can't be good to be missing it. I would stock up. Just incase they drop some anti-riboflavon bombs. It may have something to do w/ time travel but I'm not sure. I was only trying to be helpful, BTW vitamin A can be toxic as well as vitamin D so you should becareful before handing out information on that which you do not know. Small children can die from eating multi vitamines which is why the FDA wanted to ban them in the first place, some people are just plain a pain....I think you get the drift, in all accualilty the Afgani's are gonna need this sooner then we will....so will every one down wind.

Those who don't heed advice are bound to get screwed in the long run. I personally don't care if people take to many vitamins and have health related problems from them. However, shortages can be avoided by having a good selection on hand.

Now about the p. iodate, I don't care if people get thyroid problems when a nuke is used. Less people means more for me after a nuke is used. Enough said.

Yes but alot of that fear is unwaranted.

I view worrying about nuclear fallout is just as funny as worrying about anti-ribloflavon bombs. Not because they have equal chances of happening but because there both stupid things to worry about.

My father is afraid to fly on planes, you can see where his fears come from but I mock him for it. Its not worth the worrying theres a bigger chance he will die in a car crash than hi-jacked on a plance yet he has no fear of driving.
