For comparison - a 56K modem will give around 56 kbps both upstream and downstream (in a perfect world) so yeah, yours is quick. I would assume from the numbers you have cable or ASDL

mine said 696 13 times faster than 56k That`s all it sid. I had to find another test location due to busy original ones.

Damn! Mine is slow compared to yours but it's the fastest available in my neck of the woods.
dsl here. Cable is not available to me yet

Thats cause I just moved to a new neighborhood. Where I used to live I got around ~240 KB/S download because almost everyone there had cable modem. Here I think I am pretty much it.
