Possible to eat 400 grams of protein a day

Guys I just started my bulking cycle and i was wondering if 400 mg of protein a day is plenty for a skinny guy looking to gain muscle mass.
Since the protein is filtered through the kidneys, just what are the chances of damaging your kidneys with this much protein?

400g of protein is WAY too much unless you weigh 350+ lbs. you're a skinny guy trying to bulk? Carbs. Carbs are your friend. I'm about to go on a bulk. 6'2" 200lbs. I'll start at 280g protein and 320g carbs. I was 150lbs two years ago. A tall skinny guy.
You will wreck your kidney with that much protein. At 150lbs I was taking probably 200-225g protein and my kidney levels were bad. Enough to where the doc wanted me to see a specialist for kidney failure. I talked him into letting me do more bloods with a changed diet. Dropped protein and thankfully it leveled out.
Carbs are what we need to grow. Why don't you leave your stats and goals and we can give some pointers.

Here is a good video for you to watch where I explain how to calculate your calorie, protein, carb and fat requirements based on your goals: http://www.evolutionary.org/forums/...s/nutrition-101-carbs-proteins-fat-46427.html

A rough estimate to determine how many calories you need is to multiply your body weight (in pounds) by 15. That will give you the amount of calories needed to maintain your current body weight. If your goal is to gain weight, multiply your body weight by 17-18. If your goal is to loose weigh, multiply your body weight by 12-13.
For example, a 200 pound person would need 3000 calories to maintain his weight (200 x 15 = 3000).

Once you have determined your calorie needs. Set your protein intake. A good number to shoot for is:
1-1.5 grams of protein/pound of body weight for natural athletes
1.5-2grams of protein/pound of body weight for enhance athletes

Once you have set your protein intake, fill the rest of your calorie intake with carbohydrates and fat.

the protein myth was debunked years ago

you dont need crazy amounts to build muscle.. you got people starving around the world who are lucky to eat termites and bugs for their protein and people are going to lecture me that we need to eat steak, chicken, turkey, fish everyday to get in necessary protein?

1g of protein per body weight is plenty, and no i am not counting fart shakes in that

too many skinny dudes drink 150g of protein a day via protein shakes and whine they can't gain muscle. eat REAL FOOD

Wouldnt say that 400g of protein is really that big of an amount. The problem is - is it worth it? You will probably shit it out, and not enjoy food as much as you could with a carb+protein meal

I would say that 1g of protein per lb of body weight is a good number. I cant imagine anyone needing 400g of protein per day. You will have ridiculous farts with that amount.

To answer your question - possible? Yes, you can definitely push in these many proteins. However, does it make sense or is it healthy - no. When it comes to human body and our health, balance is the key to everything, and eating too much protein would ruin that balance.
