Possession of anabolic steroids is illegal

Well, I am a compulsive liar so I just talk about them!

Never even seen the inside of a gym. Also, I would never break the law no matter how unfair it is.

I am so glad the the good ole USA protects me from myself. Can you imagine if I could actually get steroids. I would be some crazed madmad like they talk about on the news all the time when someone takes those evil steroids.

Personally find Phil's opinions rather annoying...particularly the ever meaningless and generic: "Oh well if you dont like it here move to Iraq..." ... unfortunately I have to leave for work now but will respond further when I get back

I feel very strongly on this subject and offer two quotes

"What kind of person can we admire, can we ask young people of the next generation to emulate-the strict follower of law or the dissident who struggles, sometimes within, sometimes outside, sometimes against the law, but always for justice? What life is best worth living-the life of the proper, obedient, dutiful follower of law and order or the life of the independent thinker, the rebel?"
-Howard Zinn

"The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to always be kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. Its like a storm in the atmosphere."
-Thomas Jefferson

no one should allow American ideology to make puppets of us all, I agree this is a great country but lets not forget that our individual freedoms do not have to be legislated by bureaucrats.

Lets not forgot that our so called wonderful country with all of its laws actually allowed slavery to take place! How could a government have overlooked something so disgraceful is beyond me. And thank god for those who broke the law and did right by supporting the underground railroad by helping slaves hide out in their homes while they were fleeing to other states that had already abolished and outlawed slavery. Those people intentionally broke the law to support something they believed in whole heartedly. Those people helped change our government and shape our country. It is thought that our democracy will fail within the next 50 years and the US will not be a superpower forever. Hell, we have only been around for 250 years. We are nothing compared to the Roman Empire. My point is this. Our government is getting so out of control that the citizens, including myself, are willing to go to extremes to stop it. Look at taxes...could this be anymore overly complex? Even my accountant struggles with my taxes and I just own a home. Shit has to change or our government is going to be overcome by people revolting. Hell, things have been great for most of our lifetimes. Just wait until we really hit economic hard times...

I do not think steroids should be legalized because they would end up in the hands teenagers or younger who wish they could look like ARNOLD and irrevocably damage their bodies. Much like alcohol currently does and pot, cigarrettes etc.

Who cares? Where are their parents? That is such a weak ass argument. I think stupid people should have things that can kill them. We no longer have Dinosaurs or Lions roaming freely to kill off the morons, so why not have drugs. They serve the same purpose.

LOL, while thgis is a pretty harsh way to put it, there is definatly some validity there. It also is my biggest gripe about modern society, no one is willing to take responsibility for their actions. Some old lady spills coffee in her lap and its McDonals fault. SOmeone gets killed by a gun and its the gun makers fault, someone OD's and its the drug companies fault, where in the hell did personal responsibility go? The government cant protect us from ourselves so they should just stop trying and let nature take its course.

Not sure what you mean by that but its all good :)

To rephrase what I am specifically getting out our government is here to protect us yes, I do feel they have a responsibility to protect us from each other in the sense they should allow people to run around and shoot each other. They shouldnt allow people to sell mass produced product that are intentially faulty and cause harm etc, those kinds of thing do require some governmental intervention. However, as stated above, someone SHOULD not win a lawsuite because they spilled coffee on themselves. As we have seen throughout history prohibition and making something illegal simply does not work. This is what I mean by protecting us from ourself. If I am bound and determined and have a compulsive or other mental disorder I will find a way to fuck myself and there is nothing they can do to protect me in the long run, sure they can make it a bit tougher, and they do in the name of "prevention" but in the end they can not save a person from themselves short of locking them in a padded cell..
