Talked to the doctor he said that it might break again since im active.
It could even break open while lifting.

Pros : Dont have to worry about breaking it anymore and bleeding internally if it does

cons: surgery, lack of defences against certain strands of pnemonia

Ive been leaning more torward ther removing it since the doctor scared me and said it could break at any time in the future because it will never heal right. Of course the paranoia in me is saying he wants to sell it on the black market to canibals that pay top dollars to eat healthy male spleens. Of course I know this may sound "Out There" to some but in a world where crime is starting to mimic cartoon chartacters with sinister plots , can you totally doubt it.

Had one doctor said that it would be fine as is, and that I would not have to remove it.

Yah im definately going to get 3rd and fourth opinions. Buckwheat1 said he tore his over 20 years ago and he never had a problem or removed. The initial surgeon that let me out of the hospital said that although it might not heal all the way there was no need he saw to remove it.

Either way I only have about 50% of my blood currently and doc said its gonna take another 4 weeks to get to 100%. So im not doing anything in the near future. It sucks constantly feeling high and weak.

Now im not joking around when I ask this , Im being serious, Doesnt anadrol increase Red Blood Cell Count (RBC)? I would not take it without medical attention or without medical advice, that would be outright stupid , but is it worth asking my doctor for it? Is it used for things like this? Is anadrol the drug im thinking of or is there another steroid that helps with RBC?

Actually I just read the drug profile on it and it sounds like I might be a canditate.

Anadrol 50 ® (oxymetholome)

Quick overview:

Active Life: Less than 16 hours
Drug Class: Highly Anabolic/Androgenic Steroid (Oral)
Average Dose: Men 50-150 mg/day
Acne: Yes
Water Retention: Yes, high
High Blood Pressure: Yes
Liver Toxic: Yes, very high
Aromatization: Debatable
DHT Conversion: It is a derivative of DHT
Decrease HPTA function: Yes, extreme

Anadrol 50® is the U.S. brand name for oxymetholone, a very potent oral androgen. This compound was first made available in 1960, by the international drug firm Syntex. Since oxymetholone is quite reliable in its ability to increase red blood cell production (and effect characteristic of most anabolic/androgenic steroids), it showed great promise in treating cases of severe anemia. It turned out to be well suited for this purpose, and was popular for quite some time. But recent years have brought fourth a number of new treatments, most notably the non-steroidal hormone Epogen (erythropoietin).

I think a safer bet while your taking it easy would be EQ. Anadrol would be more taxing on your overall system. Eq would be much safer.

Have it removed. You are physically fit, your immune system is higher than the norm. Don't worry about the flu. Get a third opinion.
Having it removed far outweighs the risks of having it rupture.

THEEGAME2544 I doubt my doctor qould prescribe Eq.
I want to get it through him, I also dont want to take chances, if he says no , then no, I dont want to start experimenting until I have a clean bill of health. Anything I do right now will be only under doctor's care or advice.

That what my doctor said. If I rupture it again and loose as much blood as I did this time , my chances of surviving a surgery are greatly decreased. The rupture wasnt a small one either I ripped it down the whole length of the spleen. First surgeon that chose not to operate said that It would heal and Id be fine though.

Asked my doctor if it would have any affect due that I take AAS and he said none whatsoever.

To be honest, I am not sure if it was torn, bruised or what. I was in a lot of pain, in the hospital for 5 days, on liquids only for most that time. I had to have CAT scan done twice. I also remember my mid section had swelled up and I couldn't button my pants when I tried them on. They were not sure if it was going to burst or even improve and I was told that they may have to remove but luckely didn't.

I would get some more opinions. I like to keep my bodyparts as long as I can. They always tell you that you really don't need a spleen or appendix or gallbladder. Im sorry, but they were put there for a reason and I want to keep mine.

well if you do get it removed, make sure you get to keep the lil' bastard when they take it out.. you can put in on your desk at work.

Definately third and fourth opinion from specialists in that field. Also Epo can be doctor prescribed and is not supposed to be as hard on the liver as Anadrol.

I lost an aunt ,she had to have her spleen removed and they ran into complications...............Get more opinions!

Sorry to hear that Radar.

Got tests yesterday, gonna get the results today, my blood levels feel like they are 100%. I want to go to back to the gym so bad. Impatience will be the end of me..

Its so hard to not be involved in anything physical after so many years of training and a schedule.

It sucks cause now that I feel better I dont want to take the damn thing out. When I was near deaths door, again I was just impatient and wanted to get the damn thing removed just to feel better.

Doctor wouldnt give me anadrol, just kept tellling me to take iron supplements and eat foods rich in iron.

You might want to get a third opinion.

I was once in the gym doing 800 kilo dead lifts when all of a sudden i felt a twinge in my mid back then a tearing sound followed by a loud cracking sound. I fell to the floor in pain. When i came to in the hospital the doctor told me that i'd had 'high velocity vertibral disc expulsion'. Apparently, when i was performing the dead lift, the pressure was so intense that two of my spinal discs had ruptured and shot out through my back and lodged into the ceiling of the gym. The discs were destroyed upon impact and they only managed to recover fragments from the holes that they created. The doctor informed me that i had to have my whole spine removed because this may occur again, he also informed me that the police had enquired has to what had happened because they were looking to charge me with discharging a deadly weapon in public! The doctor told me that total spinal removal was my only option because the police had a court order from the local judge stating that my spine was classed as a lethal/dangerous weapon that i wasn't licenced for. From that moment, my spine was marked for confiscation and destruction under the Unlicenced Dangerous Weapons Act 1985. I asked my doctor what i will be like without my spine and he said that because my back was so strong i wouldn't even notice. All i had to do was to keep on doing intense back exercises and keep my muscles strong and that would be enough for me to carry on with a normal life. Wrong! I had the surgery without anesthetic because i had to be awake while they worked around my spinal cord. They put me in what they called a vertribusis, which is a contraption that locks you in to a position whereby they can get better access for this procedure. I was totally naked with my knees at the side of my ears and my arse in the air while thay started the procedure. It took 3 and a half hours to complete and was quite painful. I now regret letting them do this to me since talking to another doctor who told me of a similar case and what he did. He said he had devised a 'High Velocity Disc Disrupter' that could be used to sheild the spine and stop any stray discs from shooting through the back and causing injury to others. He said the surgery was painless and took only 1 hour to complete. I must say, i was a little upset to find this out!

This was two years ago now and i'm still without a spine. I have 34 floating ribs and my head leans to one side constantly. The only upside to this is that i've learnt to suck myself off. My first attempt at this was rather embarrasing because i nearly chocked to death after forcing my legs over my head and inserting my penis into my mouth. I realised that the weight of my legs was too much for my back to handle and i couldn't get my cock from out of my throat. I was lucky that my grandma and my mother found me in time and helped me out of this unfortunate situation. Any way i've now mastered this art and i use a rope a pulley system to lower my legs down and pull them back up again.

Life without a spine is quite difficult but i'm still training hard. People in the gym say i'm an inspiration to them but they still wont train behind me whenever i'm doing a back workout for fear of catching a disc in the head. Still, i'll never pay for blow job again.

So please get a second, third opinion before having ya spleen ripped out.

I wonder if they sold my spine.

So what caused your spleen to tear in the first place? Did I miss something here?

Snowboarding accident, hit a rail too fast and just wound up landing on my stomache on it. Kept going for another 2 hours, because it didnt hurt, then I also broke my tailbone, couldnt go anymore, started driving home 3 hours on the road, pain just got so intense I passed out from that and the fact that I loss something like 60% of my blood, made it to ER just in time.

Suck out of the gym now for I think its been almost 1 1/2 months now. SUCKS!!!!!!!!

I lacerated my spleen playing football. Had surgury and had half of it removed. Not sure why they didnt just remove the whole thing, but i continue to have problems with it.Every couple weeks it starts to hurt.Been that way since i had half of it removed.(15 years) Havnt had it looked at, but i think i might. Id say if you are haveing problems with it,, just have it removed.Might save you from problems later.

There are other options for limiting bleeding risk of the spleen.

Ask your physician about intra-arterial splenic artery embolization. This would be done by an interventional radiologist, not a surgeon.

The procedure would involve a small cut in the groin and they would occlude the splenic artery (thus cutting off it's blood supply and causing it to shrink and fibrose) from a catheter inserted in your groin.

That way, you avoid the post-operative morbidity of an open laparotomy (ie. you don't get your belly cut).

They may not perform the procedure, however, depending on the population size of the city in which you live (ie. not as many specialists capable of performing the embolization).

Hope this helps.

Im within the 5 boroughs in NY, im sure theres plnty of Doctor's around here, Ill run it past my Doc and see what he says..

Its been 4 months out , and the sucker is completely healed. Doc gave me ok to go back to the gym 4 weeks ago.

Says I actually healed very fast. Usually these things take 6 months and in some people never really heal. Apparently it has healed completely. Thank god I didnt take it out. Starting cycle in t-minus 3 weeks!!!!

it's your spleen!

It's only your spleen, not like you really need that anymore. Just stay on HRT for the rest of your life and now you actually have a diagnosis that will jive with your use of AAS: low RBC!

Plus, if it ruptures while you are working out, you might not live to regret it.

I say cut the fucker out and your insurance better cover it!

:chomp:
