Poll If you Could eat only one food for fitness

Which food product would you choose

What would be the one food you would choose to eat for the rest of your life if you had to choose only one and why? Why do you think it would be the best choice, health and heart reasons, musscle recovery, most protein, most all around value, least fat etc etc etc.
 
For strength I prefer lean ground beef. So Steak, if I can grind it.
Skim milk wasn't listed, which is my #1 source of protein, because it's cheap, easy to consume, and loaded with nutrients.

i agree with powerbuilder..... except i would go with 1% milk.

contains all macro-nutrients...... fat, carbohydrates and protein.
full of micro-nutrients as well
( milk has glutamine rich muscle building protein)
 
Why no chicken? I mean you can prepare so many ways as well as pretend it's all the things that supposadly taste like chicken.

I could have frog legs, rattkesnake, turtle, or whatever else supposedly taste like chicken. LOL
 
It would have to be 1% milk with cows grass fed, as this is the only food that provides decent macros.

However, to break it down into food macros

- for lean protein only: kangaroo, or tuna
- protein fat combos: salmon or omega 3 eggs
- carbs: butternut squash
-fiberous carb: spinach
 
HA, Sim just said Kangaroo. Think you can ship some to Canada for me ? just playin I herd it tastes good.
 
Stupid poll cause if I only had to eat steak, and no carbs I would waste away. you need carbs, bread is the only balanced food on your list, so the only source you will be able to survive off...... for a while till you die of scurvy!!

Defintely would agree, not sure I can count Milk as a food though

HAHAHA WTF, I didnt put Chicken!? Wow and I was trying to come up with one last one and I left out Chicken. It must have been a long week for me.

Hahaha there a lot of anger right there, supprised someone came out and said Bread! I was feelin bread might get completly left out!

Stupid poll? Prolly but no reason to not have fun with a simple question. This is what I love about EF...honestly.

Just throwin out a crazy simple poll and as any good BBer or Nutritionist etc would just tear it down into the most complex issue . Hahaha I love it.

I'll save ya a slice of bread bro! :chomp:

In Aust, Kangaroo is $6-7 per kilo, and is lean game.

It's about 23% protein, 1-2% fat, and being a red meat, is high in iron, and zinc like beef.

In addition, its the highest natural source of CLA, and 70% of its fats are unsaturated.

It tastes good to

These days I eat about 300 grams of salmon per day and 300-400 of kangaroo, and no other meat, because the two meat sources nutritionally complement each other well

if you could compare kangaroo to any other meat, what would it be?
after reading that im quite interested in trying it now, although im not sure where or how id get hold of it living in england!
 
Eggs, even though I'm sure they would get very boring after awhile. But eggs are a miracle food IMO :)

They are rich in a lot of vitamins, protein, and nutrients. Even though my cholesterol might go up a bit :worried:
 
milk, ewww, too much sugar for me. I like the whole egg option, easy lean protein! Ditch the yolk and the fat is gone. that simple. But Steak is tempting...

This fat phobia is a tad neurotic. Any macro can make you fat in excess. Don't be afraid of fat, it's a necessity and incidentally the one macro hormones are mainly sythesized from, especially test and where much needed nutrients reside.

Eat the whole damn egg next time.

yes,
the cholesterol in fat helps to produces super-duper hormones like Test

so why on earth wouldnt oyu want that?

I drink more than 1 gallon of whole milk a day and whole eggs, ribeye steaks
full fat dressings, full fat whatever .and my BF isnt more than 14%...just sayin build the muscle and it will burn the fat for you... and you dont have to do cardio every friggin day.
