I love oatmeal. Sadly I have been reduced to eating cold handfulls of raw nasty plain oats every morning. Perhaps this will spice up my carb loads.

Im a big oatmeal guy also, especially when on cycle...you have a very nice site with some very original options.

Cool, Oatmeal Brah. I ordered a bag of butter pecan flavor and a bag of cookie dough flavor (with fruits and nuts added to both) and that oaty goodness better be on my step TOMORROW!! :) :) seriously this is awesome though. Finally oats will be fun

Looks good. Need steel cut oats. That is all I eat.

I like the innovation that MyOatmeal brings. I just created a nice little blend and scooped up a couple bags of it. Thanks for the 20%off and welcome aboard ANT!

Thanks for your warm welcome and thanks for your support as well!
I appreciate the fact that I have only been a forum vendor for a few hours and already a few of you have placed orders.

+20 cool points for 'holy balls'

I added some of the PB lean to one of my blends! Is the nutritional value close to that of pb2?

Thanks man!
We are working on applying that same innovation, and website functionality to our line of dehydrated peanut butter; PB Lean.
I just made a small batch of Banana Bread flavored PB Lean and it was awesome. I also mixed up a bit of PB Lean with German Chocolate cake and cherries. I needed to add a bit of stevia but it was delicious!

You can expect to see that feature on the website in the next 2 weeks or so.

I noticed a slightly high shipping cost added on to my order as well. It was $19+bucks for the shipping and I live in the U.S. (Tampa, FL) but I'm not complaining bc you gave us the 20%off. Next time I will buy in bulk to help bring that price down some.
The product prices I feel are very reasonably priced it is only the shipping looked a little high.

$19 for shiping?
How many bags did you order?
Was that UPS or USPS?
Did you not see the flat rate option for $12?

ANT,

I double checked my invoice and it was $19 for shipping. I didn't see the $12 option but now I know for next time to look for it. I was rushing through the payment/shipping options so probably just over looked it.

Thanks!

very interesting. Lots of potential here. Anyone dieting knows that oatmeal is a must as a carb source.

We are also sourcing bulk protein right now to include it as an add on, so you can mix in your own protein on our site.

I ordered:
Steel Cut Whole Oats
Apple Brown Sugar
1oz Banana Chips
Stevia
Chia Seeds

The Stevia was too sweet; otherwise it's a nice idea if a bit pricey.

This is good information to know!
Too much stevia..
Shoot me a PM< and I will remake your bag at no charge and use less stevia..

Assuming I see a few more positive feedback posts I am going to have to try that bananas foster one.

Give it a shot. If you factor in the cost of adding the extras yourself it's a nice deal and pretty convenient. I'm sure I will order again.

I just ordered the signature smash blend with banana and the banana chips. What is the difference in the Oats? Does one happen to have more protein than another one. Thanks

Steel cut oats have slightly more protein than others.
There are very small fractional changes in the macros of the each of the oats.
My favorite is the 5 grain oats with flax. this is 6 different rolled grains that are all very similar to standard rolled oats, but they are slightly thicker and have a more earthy flavor. They hold their shape better and don't turn in to mush like quick oats can. They are also more colorful and have more micro nutrients than your standard rolled oats. Enough to make a difference? Probably not, but still, they could be considered healthier depending on how you measure healthy and unhealthy things.

I like them because of the texture and the flavor.
Oh, and they cook up in 5-7 minutes, where as steel cut oats take up to 35 minutes to cool (unless you pre-soak them overnight, then they take about 5-10 minutes to cool up)

Just a quick (and unfortunate) update I just posted on our fb page.

After listening to a handful of people comment about the bitterness of their oatmeal, Kathy and I were up at 6am, and spent the majority of the day in our facility revisiting and reworking the profile of some of our more popular flavors.

It seems as though we have made a couple of small mistakes that added up to big problems. Not everyone has had this issue with their oatmeal (Many people are loving the product and would not change anything about it). Those of you that have been affected would notice a very bitter and almost chemical tone on the back side of the flavor. A bitter aftertaste that makes the product impossible to eat.

It seems that the problem is due to a calculation error on my part, along with some very potent stevia.
We are confident that we have fixed the issue with flavor system itself, but the stevia had to go.. The concentrate of the stevia is to strong, was no correct way we can use it without it being bitter. We removed it from our site as an option, for now, and will put it back up once we have a stevia product we believe in.
So, in order to make things right, we are going to offer a replacement bag for everyone that has experienced this problem with their product. We will be sending out a mass email announcement in the next few days to let everyone know.
What we need from you, is a bit of honesty. If your bag was terrible, we will replace it, no questions asked. All we need you to do is reply to the email we send out this coming week.
Thanks so much for your attention and for your patience while we do everything we can to make improvements to MyOatmeal.com
I am sorry for the trouble

Just received my order today. Gonna be a large serving of oatmeal with my protein in the am

Please let me know how it turns out.
I really need to make sure that every single one of our customers gets exactly what they ordered and more than they expect.

Yes we do!
We use UPS and USPS, though I think USPS is the less expensive option for international orders

Sounds like a great concept, but I just tried to order at regular price without the 20% discount and realized the shipping is more than the oatmeal itself. And it's not one flat fee it's per item. I make good money, but that's a tough pill to swallow.

We have been working on creative ways to get the shipping cost down and so far we have done a great job.
Can you tell me a bit more about the order?
How many bag? How much did it weight? Where do you live?

The problem is that we charge what the post office and UPS charge us. These items are 1-3 lbs which is very expensive to ship (per oz).
I had one customer pay $13 to ship a $10 bag of oatmeal from AZ to NY, while another guy, just yesterday paid $17, to ship 9 bags from AZ to florida. The more you buy the cheaper the shipping costs is per bag (to a point), but it is that one or 2 bag range that is killer. In most cases our site will present a flat rate option. 1 bag is $5.50 or so, but 2 bags steps up to $12 due to the size of the flat rate box.. 2-5 bags stays at $12..
It is a real bitch dialing it all in, but I am always working on it..

I tried to order 2 bags. I didn't want to order a bunch of something if I haven't tasted it, but it was $12 shipping for each bag. Came out to over $40. The code didn't work when I tried it. I'll try again tomorrow for just one bag and see if the code works.
