A question for any of the forty plus users. A friend of mine is considering using anavar for the first time but is very concerned about sides. I know that it is about as safe as you can get, but what I need to know is the post cycle the same for a woman as it would be for a man. What im talking about is keeping your body in line after the cycle. Men would use clomid, nolvadex or arimadex. Also how many mg's of anavar would a 56 year old woman need and for how long.

How realistic are the gains going to be and is it going to have to be long cycles and alot of maintenance.

Real life experiances would be great, thanks ORCA.

I myself am on anavar. 10mg is fine. I also have a bit of concern because of her age. 56 is a little older to be doing gear and I would hope that she has a a complete physical and green light from her doc before she even thinks about it. Blood pressure I would think would be a big concern. Be safe.

Here's the link to the Medline thing on Anabolic Steroids. As you can see the biggest concern for someone of that age is possible drug interactions. If she's on Hormone Replacement Thearpy (any type of female hromone) you might want to check out the interaction very carefully.

On the otherhand, they give steroids to cancer patients, so....

But, let's get real, how long has she been lifting, what are her goals. etc.? I know there are those 70 year old female BBers in the muscle mags, but I think they've put in a lot of time--A LOT of time.
