plastic vs glass

If i were to buy from ************and wanted to tansfer them over to a sterile vial does the vial have to be glass or can I use one of the bacteria statis plastic vials that i can get for free

As long as its sterile I don't see why it would matter. Only thing I would worry about if it was stored in plastic long term and the gear had a high BA count.

Don't take my advice because I'm not 100% sure. That was jusst my opinion that if it was for very short term it would probably be alright. I would wait until someone who knows a little more about this chimes in before you take my word for it.

If I were you I would just get some sterile glass to be safe, no reason cutting corners and risking anything. Plastic breaks down to easily by substances, sunlight etc.

Why is it risky?

I am intrigued. It could be that glass is cheap and sterile thus why pharmacies use it. Is there a plastic polymer that would be better and would keep instances like the one needto talked about from happening?
