if your cardio is running, you'll prolly gain some muscle in your legs while you decrease your body fat, the stairmaster can do that too. If you want to do your workouts at home, there's tons you can do with some 10, 15 and 20 etc lb. dumbbells, that's how I got most my workouts in and was pretty ripped at one point from that while i was running. good luck and let us know what your doing
