Pics Of Wtc - Viewers Discretion!

These pictures may be hard to look at, but each and everyone of us needs to look hard and deep at these pictures and let those images be forever burned into our minds.

Never should we forget that behind each person whether falling to his/her death or stuck in the window when the building collapsed there is a face, a life a family. We should let their images always remind us of how fortunate we our to still have our children, girlfriends, wives, husbands, boyfriends, etc. Because for them, some 5,000 plus, there will never be a dad or mom coming home, etc.

These images will help us to do what we must do and that is read the world of people like Laden, and of terrorist groups and orginizations, etc.

We need to be reminded daily of why we fight this war and why we are Americans.

If the offend you, make you mad, piss you off, upset you, make you cry, etc. Good, these feelings need to be discovered again. America has become so apathetic in its ways that the fates willing this tragedy will become our triumph.

Never forget.

I DELETED MANY OF THE RESPONSES TO THIS THREAD. THESE PICTURES CAPTURE THE TRUE EVIL OF WHAT WAS DONE TO US.

MANY MEMBERS HAVE ASKED ME TO DELETE THE THREAD. I BELIEVE THESE SHOULD REMAIN, BECAUSE SADLY THESE EVENTS ARE REAL.

WHAT I WILL NOT ALLOW TO REMIAN IS THE SENSELESS FLAMING. YES, WE SHOULD BE ANGRY ABOUT THESE PICS, BUT NOT AT EACH OTHER.

Thank you

Matt

I would say delete them if you could see who is in them or if someone who knew someone in them said to delete them :(

Otherwise I think they should not have been taken and publicized but I agree that posting them here is not going to make things worse...

I'm glad I was not the only one who is bothered by these. I saw an equivalent one in TIME Magazine's special photos edition.

It just seems wrong to me to show photos of people about to die, who really did die :(

But as I said, the wrong is not so much posting them here, as that they were taken and publicized in the first place.

What I find hard is to hear of people's last phone calls home, like those who called and then 20 mins later you see the whole building collapse on TV ... :(

This post

I don't think the pictures should necessarily be removed, but did anyone else notice 'Adaptek' has in his profile that he is from Afghanistan (is that true or are you trying to be funny?).

Also the comment that one of the victims had a good physique is tasteless at best.

Thanks Matt I actually don't believe my reply flamed anyone here. I don't think in the 20 months I've been on E/F I've set out to flame anyone.

I realise their a real event but e/f is'nt some form of tabloid media. Unlike the vast majority of people on elite I've seen war and all it's horror's first hand and I believe that the moment of someone's death is so horrible it should'nt be open this this short of voyeurism. "Viewer discretion" is not good enough. Why not put "people jumping to their death from the WTC" we can see from the attachment icon then that there's pix included.

Anyway they've been here long enough now. But that does not change the fact that I do not believe shock tactics to increase your viewer and post count is right. .

I knew that when I saw your avatar.

My sense of incredulous disbelief was much greater with the WTC pics posted here, but - it was still there, when I saw your avatar, in some measure.

So, yeah, I confess it worked......cheer if you want to...
