kano, for the price of that quad setup.........couldn't you have gotten one of those nice new 1gig 9800's???

I'm definitely interested in hearing how that ATI setup works out for you.
 
How is the performance?

I played with my friends AlienWare computer last weekend. And honestly, i was very disappointed. Outside of a game, it is slow as molasses.

My other friend has a fancy Dell XPS and it doesn't fare much better either.

Another bought an $800 Intel Titanium (sp?), and has had nothing but lockups and instability. Probably due to a motherboard not really setup for it. On forums, people are ripping that chip to shreds.

alienware pc's are "strictly" gaming rigs. I want to build my own computer based off one of their cases...........sweetest looking fuckers on the market.

no degress like in the spring time lol .. It never gets above 95 degrees the zalman heat sinks are kick ass

performance is amazing .. everything runs great no lock ups whatsover..its runs really cool and is quiet as well. granted its not as fast my my 8 way xeon machine but its good for what i need it for.. Having four raptors raid 0 is great i get awesome throughput.. 4 solid state drives raid 0 would of been sweet but cost to much money ... I love my mother board the on board raid works great and the north and south bringe stay cool as can be cause of all the copper.. the bios has everyoption you could ever need ..
