Yep, Galveston , Texas, hurricaine season is right around the corner, will have to depend on storms from here on out. Galveston is a nasty place, but its a beach with ridable waves, thats all some need. peace

I got a kick out of seeing on the news the Cocoa beach National surfing festival/contest last week..

They had these world class surfers stylin and suited up and they showed them surfing on these waves that were flatter than a 10 year old girl....

It was quite comical actually..


Usually New Smyrna beach at Ponce Inlet is rockin good surf, but lately the Sharks have been having a feeding frenzy on the riders...

Y Lifter, I have surfed Cocoa, Ron Jon's is right there, also I have surfed Sebastian Inlet about 10 times in my life, pretty solid on some days. peace

I have some worldclass breaks here though they are crowded as fuck, shark island for example. Cronulla point etc.

It's choppy all the time, but like Havoc said, when it's all you have, you are thankfull that you get a wave. I think to myself all the time, what would I do everyday if I didn't live near waves. Considering I go surfing about everyday, I think I would go insane.
Galveston isn't the most beautiful place in the world, but it's the most beautiful place that we have to surf, but if we travel down the coast of Texas the waves and the beaches get better the farther South we go.

What beach is this? What state?

This is our beach. It 37th street Galveston TX

Farther down south you have Surfside or Freeport
Then farther you have Matagorda,
and even farther you hit Port Aransas, and Corpus Christi
Then all the way south you have South Padre Island

In TX the farther south you travel, the better the waves and the break, and the beach, but here is where the women are so I just take road trips, and don't bother living there, cuz we all need to get laid.
