permanently on HRT

thinking of staying on at 200mg testosterone enanthate. week.. no more PCT - post cycle therapy - . no more mood swings {clomid shit}.. any input from some of you that are on HRT please post. The dose your taking? Is it worth it? Quality of life? Any input would be appreciated...................

200mg/week is not HRT. You will be way over the top of the range for most key hormones. That my be ok short term (like 3-4 months), but HRT is not about getting jacked. It's about long term health. Some of these issues include havoc on your lipid profiles, constant battles controlling E2 (estrogen), high hemoglobin/hematocrit probs, etc.

A more realistic and commonly used does is 100mg/week-120mg/week. HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - should stay on board since it stimulates several key pathways and keeps your balls from turning into a pair of raisins.

See http://www.allthingsmale.com

Dr John's "Recipe for Success" is highly effective for the bulk of the male population.

I'm very happy with my protocol, but it has taken a long time to get it right. I'd say expect to spend a year fine tuning and getting shit right for you. Every guy is different.

My complaints are: 3 injections a week gets old after awhile. Since Test is a DHEA Sched 3 substance, getting it can be a fawkin' hassle sometimes even if you've got a prescription, etc. Most places are very strict about the refill schedule. HCG is rarely covered by insurance and that can get kind of expensive, but I would not consider doing TRT without HCG. Been there, done that...it was not nearly as good as with HCG (for me). Traveling is a hassle, too...especially with HCG. It goes bad very quickly (like instantly) if you get it hot.

I'm happy about: Libido, strength, sense of well being, etc.

Bros on this board use an INSANE amount of gear in some cases. Do not let that make you think that 100mg/week of Test isn't going to cut it. Trust me, in most cases, it does the job quite well. You get the benefits with minimal sides and that is a big part of the picture.

Been on hrt for a year now, sick of injecting already, sometimes wish I was "clean" again. Imo only do it if nessesary or going to compete more the a few times. Also how old are you and do you get blood work done?

I've heard nothing but bad things about being on HRT permanently. Personally, I would never screw myself up to the extent where I was forced to inject myself for the rest of my life.

what kind of bad things?

the flip-side for those who naturally have low-test levels, regardless of A A S usage, is that they live miserable lives.... no energy or strength... always in a bad mood...no libido...and the list goes on and on.... I don't know about anyone else, but *I* don't want to live that way

too many guys put themselves on HRT just for the hell of it...that's wrong... but for those that have a medical necessity and no other options, HRT is a god-send

Well said, nj. Hadn't seen you around in awhile. How's it going, bro?

I believe in doing everything possible to get natural T back to normal, especially if you're under 40.

Even while on HRT you should try to keep some endogenous T flowing. (That's where supps like UNLEASHED and MyogenX can help). Use a little dexx and a natty anti e and try to avoid going over 100mgs.

I'm 53 and on 100mgs a week along with the supps and sometimes my T goes over 1000ngs. As r1 said, guys go way overboard (as do some of those online "clinics").

Thanks r1 for the web link allthingsmale .. will take blood work next month and will post here for reference.. I will be turning 40 in October and was considering HRT because of the way I feel while on.. I'm happier, stronger ,energy ,libido etc. I'm miserable on those months I'm off. could be low test levels or aas abuse but will soon find out // thanks
