Anything above 6 reps on squats, leg press, or hack squat is high reps for me. Usually I stick in the 3-6 rep range and....yup...have the legs that get jaw dropping "that must be alien" stares. Laddies love to "poke" them for some reason. They don't touch or grab as to be conservative and not seem skankny, but they poke them as if to test if they're real. Part of it is genetics. My quads, hams, adductors, and glutes are just my genetic gift, but they didn't get to where they are by sitting my ass on the couch. I blast them and few can hang with me during a leg session, although many have indeed tried in a quest to grow some real wheels. I even go heavy on leg extensions and leg curls. No more, usually than 6-8 reps. When I feel the need for a shock I'll use drop sets, super sets, Minimal rest sets, or 30 rep sets...except for squats...never more than 6 reps in the rack. Heavy and deep with the squats. None of that 1/8th of a rep bull shit most people do. Knees to the chest on leg presses. None of that pushing your knees with your hands in an effort to move more weight than you really can. I personally respond to low rep, slow tempo, heavy leg work. That's me, but the proof is in the quads.
