Painkillers while on cycle

I know the general consensus is to stay away from painkillers that have high amounts of tylenol (such as Vicoden) while on a cycle. I know it's definitely a bad idea to be taking Vikes everyday while on a cycle, but how about on occasion when the pain gets ridiculous? That happens here & there, especially after a good back workout.

I've seen a couple of people recommend Oxys on this board, but to be honest, I'd rather not mess with Oxys because I've read that they can be too addictive. I take Vikes on occasion for pain and have always been able to avoid getting addicted, so I don't want to jeapordize that with a stronger, more addictive painkiller.

I've been there bro...........TERRIBLE IDEA.....dont even get started........I am now on xanax and wondering how that effects people, but painkillers are bad bad news............

i though vicodin was stronger than oxys? but yes not a good idea, maybe you wanna try some weed...

the pain is actually your body trying to communicate with you and telling you somethings fucked up and for you to back off.eating pain meds will just allow you to really fuck yourself up by masking the pain.I would highly advise against taking that shit, not to mention the addiction that can occur

Thank you.

If you're in so much pain that you need prescription opiates in order to function, there's something majorly wrong.

i take painkillers once in a while its better for your body then drinking i only take them on occasion though woudnt do it everyday

I agree 100% with the above although I do take an occasional pain med but I will not take it before a lifting session - if you do, you will cause serious damage because your body will not be feeling the pain whether it be in your back or your shoulder while lifting and then you will continue to aggrivate your infected area - and once that medication wears off... watch out!

If you can't stand the pain don't work out, suck it up and if needed use aspirin, tylenol is good but is hard on the liver

You're best sticking with advil or aleve. They have anti-inflammatory properties as well as pain relief. The inflammation could be a source of your problem. It's best to take all pain killers only on occasion. Here and there however, a couple vicodin isn't a big deal. Don't abuse them or go over the dosage. If you find oxy's send them to me for disposal and/or testing. If you are worried about the tylenol in the vic you can use the cold water extraction method to separate the two.

Cold water extraction:

Grind up substance into powder , as fine as can get.
Put coffee filter into a jar/container like covering it up the top
Put powder into the coffee filter
Pour cold water *not alot* through the powder
Things that are not water soluable *like most filters such as tylenol* will stay in the filter = throw away
What is left in the jar needs to be dried and theres the final product of cold water extraction..

- works for good for people who need vicoden/percocet that has 500+mg of tylenol per pill = horrible for liver. hope this helps. Acetaminophen kills livers, now send me my share :p :p

Don't take any of that crap. I've watched vics and oxy's ruin a few lives very recently. You'll become a script junkie in no time if you aren't careful.

It's easy to find on a rec drug board like www.bluelight.ru.

(Probably 'cause that's a common thing for drug abusers to do. *cough*)

Oh, and ditto on the destroying lives post.

It's what smart people do, not "abusers" in general. I am sure someone as smart as yourself, knows that the excessive acetaminophen causes liver damage. The cold water extraction is great for smart people who want to save their liver :)

+1

I agree about the abuse of pain meds. I do not, never have, and never intend to abuse them. I'm familiar with the cold water extraction method for the hydro in vikes, however, I don't use them often enough to have ever considered doing that. And to be honest, if I were to do it, it might give me a reason to think it's okay to take them more often. No need for that.

My only question/inquiry was to the potential harm they could have on the liver while taking an oral. Obviously anybody who abuses painkillers while taking orals is asking for serious liver problems, but I was just curious about the occasional usage of them, such as once every week or two. I figured it wouldn't be harmful since that's far from abuse. However, if anybody knows that not to be the case, I'd appreciate the input.

DUDE ya don't even wanna mess wit OC's. 1 40mg Oxy. = 8 Percocets w/o the tylenol = about 10 Vicoden ES. Percocet is 5mg of Oxycodone, so even a 20mg Oxy. is = 4 Perco.= 5 or so Vic.'s. You definitely don't wanna mess wit the newest thig prescribed for pain, METHADONE. Trust Me Bro. .

Much of the general populace thinks that we're stupid drug abusers -- that doesn't make their preconcieved notions correct. Ditto for many rec drug users and abusers. Lots of them know how to maintain an opiate addiction, and a CWE with weaker Rx pain meds is a very common way to stave off withdrawl until stronger stuff can be found.

bro, I wouldn't chance taking any kind of pain killers unless you absoultely have to. And even then I would take them under the care of a doctor. Pain medications can and will take a toll on your workouts eventually. Maybe try some ansaid anti-inflammatories at first and see if they help instead of jumping on the narcatics bandwagon like a lot of us do. Ibupophen works wonders if you take them before your workout. As far as oxys go, they are extremely addictive and will be hell to get off of if you get addictied to them. I speak from experiece bro, been there, done that. Been addicted to all kinds of opiates for most of my life. just use them as a last resort if possible. hope this helps some.
