Ok I know this doesn't apply to a lot of you girls, but I know a few of you live sort of nearby or at least not too far from me here in Auburn Hills. I'm trying to sell my furniture! Anyone want anything?

Here we go! Pictures, descriptions and prices:
SV400001.jpg

Computer desk. Same-wood crate next to it I would give too if you want it. $10 OBO. I've only had this 2 years. It matches...
SV400005.jpg

...this bookcase (which folders up flat for easy transport - $10 OBO)... and they both match...
SV400006.jpg

...this regular desk, which has 1 drawer and a separate pull shelf for keyboard. $15 OBO.
All items in GREAT shape and it's a great look for a matching office set!

Also for sale...
SV400007.jpg

Wing-back chair, grey/pastel pattern, very comfortable, minimal usage. $10 OBO.

Also note in that picture the area rug -- 4' x 6' rug, $5 OBO.

SV400004.jpg

This coffee table I used for a TV table, which worked out great. It's in GREAT shape as well, and it actually matches the desk set as well (though I bought them all separately). $10 OBO.

SV400003.jpg

This side table has glass bevelled top. It has a matching coffee table too, not shown. I will sell both together as a package for $15 OBO.

SV400002.jpg

This is my couch -- don't be put off by the pattern! I will also give with it my RED, solid, PotteryBarn slip cover that fits it like a glove. Gives it a totally updated looked, and I have 4 pillows as well I would include. $50 for couch, slipcover and pillows. It's a GREAT sofa -- very very comfy and I bought it from an estate sale only 2 years ago. Awesome condition; I'd really like someone to have it. It's just too big for me to haul to FL. *sigh*

Bedroom Furniture Set:
SV400010.jpg

Armoire/TV cabinet with drawer. $20 OBO. It matches...
SV400009.jpg

... this dresser/bureau, which comes with a giant mirror that is attachable (I had a window so I didn't use the mirror, but I have it). It has 3 drawers center, and two cupboards on the sides with a shelf in each. $20 OBO, including mirror. If you take both the armoire and the dresser, I'll sell it for $35 as a package.

SV400008.jpg

This would be GREAT for a kids room or playroom! It has easy-access wicker drawers. I used it as a nightstand. $5 OBO.

SV400011.jpg

Finally, this would be great for a kid's room too. It is a small bench that has a drawer for storage. I JUST got this last year and it's barely been touched! $8 OBO.

If you are interested, just post here or PM me.

I'm moving to FL this Saturday, so the sooner in the week you can come pick up furniture the better! I need to have this apartment empty by Friday morning, and I will meet you here anytime during the day too because I'm not working right now.

Thanks for looking! I really just hate to see my stuff get tossed -- I got great use out of it and I think it's really quality stuff!!! :)

And sorry for invading the fitness stuff... I just have to try to get rid of this stuff SOMEHOW!

Bumpage for T-cake....

OTOH...T....if no luck selling - look into one of those donating places that come & pick the stuff up - that way you get the tax credit....

Thanks for the bump, Jen.

OK -- my best girlfriend is taking the desk, bookcase and computer desk -- so that's 3 items down and 9 more to go! :D LOL.

Yeah, seriously -- I called all 5 of the charity truck services and the earliest they can all come pick stuff up is the middle of next week, but I'll already be gone.

Good thing my best guy friend has a big pickup truck!!! LOL. Whatever I don't get rid of by Thursday, he and I will just take it to the Salvation Army ourselves.

I know it's a steal. Most of this stuff I got from Salvation Army myself or estate sales or it's stuff that I bought at Target like 5 years ago and used in college. I'd hate to just give it to SA and not see at least a few bucks for it. At least selling this stuff, I can pay for my gas to get my butt to FL in my car on Saturday, right? :qt:

As you drive thru Indiana just drop it off at the house........ :lmao:

Call your local church, sometimes they will help you by taking it off your hands quicker than the Salvation Army or Goodwill, etc. Then, when/if they donate it the church could get the tax credit.

Good idea! I could donate leftover stuff to my church if I need to. It's right next door.

I just wrote an email to my aunt telling her I'm moving. I've been crying -- this is hard. And I still have to go tell my grandpa today or tomorrow. That will be really hard -- he doesn't hear, so I'll have to write it really big for him and take it to him so he can read it while I'm there. *sigh* :( Sad.

:wavey:

Have you tried listing on Craigslist? I had a lot of success there the last time I moved...someone would come to look at one thing and end up buying 2-3 other items I hadn't even thought to list. It made moving a lot easier for me since my place was pretty bare at the end :D

Moving is tough. Hang in there, sweetie! :bigkiss: It takes a lot of strength and courage to make a new beginning for yourself and the gains should be well worth the hassles you are going through now.

Awww thanks for the kudos! :) And another friend of mine just emailed me about Craigslist. I have sold everything now except for the wingback chair, the couch, and the area rug. So far so good, though! Maybe I will post the rest on there. 'Course not as much discount though because it's not the family & friends discount.

Gymgurl -- Yeah totally you can take the coffee table. I PMed you back about the baskets already... I have some people picking things up from me Wednesday evening. PM me about time this week you'd like to pop by since you're "close". :D
