Order of fat loss

I get Llyles newsletter, and this week was extremely interesting. In it he states the order of fat loss.....pretty fascinating to me.

In order of easiest to hardest fat to lose it goes :

Visceral fat
Deep abdominal fat
Upper superficial abdominal fat
Lower superficial abdominal fat
Hip and thigh fat

Need to edit this to add.....Since most men don't carry hip and thigh fat, the lower superfificial abdominal fat ends up being the stubbornest(sound familiar guys?? :))

Thought this would be a fascinating topic to open up for "discussion".

hip fat last? interesting...

actually that's really suprising, probably because the hips are the last place I think of as a man trying to lose fat.

Are you saying that the hip and thigh fat is the last to go? :(

Yeah, this fascinated me as I mentioned. But, I do know from personal experience, thigh fat is indeed very stubborn.

When I cut for contests, and I have done this 12 times, my upper body will always be ripped, while my legs are still relatively smooth.

Interesting post lifter ...
I have never competed but my minimal experience with cutting relates to your statement ... my upper body is ripping up NICELY .. OMG I LOVE it... Legs, taking longer as usual ... :)

I cannot get over my upper body right now though ... SLowly but surely the leg WILL come in .. last place to go for me, DEAD last is calves .. (if I have to throw out a #) even at 9.8 BF, calves were NOT where they needed to be ...

This time around, they will be ... :)

interesting, and very true in my exerience.. I have some vascularity peeking out on my calves and lower thighs but up around the hips and upper thigh there are still stodge-pockets

From my experience, I would say that that list holds true.

Question: Is deep abdominal fat beneath ab muscles?
Question: Where do love handles and low back fat fit in?

To answer your second question first...this line sums it up...

For the first question, yes.

For some chest fat is something that hangs around a while , does anyone agree ? seems to be a bitch for me to get rid of.
