I thought about that. But I've also seen a Pentagon briefing that essentially said: "More is coming". Raygun pulled the trigger once in 1986 as a deterrent. This seems like more of a sustained effort.

Well at least this time there's multinational support and a UN sanction, it's not just a unilateral cowboy invasion.

With a legitimate civilian revolt being shot down by mercenaries, that looks like just cause for UN intervention.

Then they violated the terms of the cease fire, which is also a valid international contract.
