Operation "Odyssey Dawn" = Gulf War III?

Yemen and Syria are on deck I guess

No way there arent going to eventually be ground troops in Libya. If the strikes dont remove his ass then troops are going in, otherwise its a failed type situation since the goal is to remove Qadhaffi.

Seems like special forces could make quick lunch meat of this dood. I just dont see how 1000+ rebel fighters will do much of anything against him. Theres no way hes stepping down like Obwamama said.

We arent in the business of assassinations though. Its in the geneva convention or something. Best that can happen is an errant air strike kills him or we help the rebels kill him or something.

We might as well go ahead and rename Libya to: "Somalia on the Mediterranean".

The CIA’s deployment to Libya, which is virtually certain to expand in the coming days, comes amid word that President Obama has authorized U.S. intelligence agencies to provide direct assistance to the Libyan rebels. There are no U.S. military personnel on the ground in Libya yet, though the United Kingdom, America’s closest battlefield ally, has several dozen Special Air Service commandoes and M16 agents already operating there.

It sure looks like: "You broke it, you bought it" Part III

Barry has a plan for fixin it!

"We will safeguard the more than $33 billion that was frozen from the Gadhafi regime so that it's available to rebuild Libya," Obama said on Monday. "After all, the money doesn't belong to Gadhafi or to us - it belongs to the Libyan people. And we'll make sure they receive it."
