Opened vial 9 months

The Prop had been refrigerated and the expiration date is next year. I know that Prop can be pretty painful for a few days, but it seems like I have an infection now. Was I stupid to use Prop that had been openned nine months earlier?

The rubber stopper should prevent unwanted open access to the gear.
