How did the needle break off? It wouldn't have happened because he pushed in too far, only if he angled it in a way that it snapped off. I'd honestly see if I could feel it under the skin and if I could, I'd try to use the skin to push it back out. If he unwisely chose to leave it there, ulimately scar tissue would likely form around the needle and he'd PROBABLY not have trouble later on. The needle is stainless steel and I can tell you, I have a shoulder full of stailess steel parts holding everything together and it causes no trouble. All that said, if he can't work it out from under the skin, he should go see a doctor. They'll get it out and it will be over and done with.
