Ok i found this recipe on the bodyforlife website and i think i'd like to try it.
Just want to make sure it's a good one and won't stall me from losing.
*Strawberries with Almond Cottage Cheese*
Satisfy your sweet tooth with this delicious, healthy dessert. When serving it to company, garnish it with thinly sliced almonds.
Serves 1
1 portion fresh strawberries (or other fresh berries)
1 portion low-fat cottage cheese
1/8 to ½ teaspoon almond extract (to taste)
1 packet sweetner or 2 teaspoons sugar
Combine everything but berries in blender and puree. If you use more extract, you can use less sugar. Dip and enjoy!
I will use splenda to sweeten. What do you think??
Also , I am a cherry lover and wondering about adding frozen unsweetened black cherries to my morning shake instead of strawberries, sometimes.
Is this an ok choice? I will probably add a little almond extract to give it that wonderful cherryish flavor i
Is this an ok idea or is there sugar or something i should avoid in the extract ?????
Thanks guys!
