ok, im going off to army basic training in a few mnths. gf is not putting out (shes a 7.5/10, so she really has no reason to be so picky). however! theres this girl who likes me, who is a 6.5/10. should i ditch my current one, ask this other chick out, say fuck it to my standards, and tap her? i mean in army basic, its 2 months of guys running around in mud and showering together. i doubt ill get a chance then. and i dont want to go to basic as a virgin, and definately not before my 19th birthday in october.

yeah our training is tough, and long.. one of the longest in NATO. we do our basic stuff longer than marine corps basic. then again we have less of an army so we can afford to.

if you get lucky and get your basic military qualifacation,soldier qualifacation and Military occupation course back to back,which you need all three to be put in a unit,it takes 30 weeks

some may be longer I believe,thats for the combat arms for certain,the only course that may vary in length is the MOC because you will learn a different skill based on your moc,but bmq and sq are the same for everyone

We have 13 weeks of bootcamp, 4 weeks of combat training for anything that is not an 03xx field, and X amount of weeks for MOS depending on the school. Some of those schools are so long that 5 year deals are required.

we train harder with less due to budget so I imagine they are right up there if not better,we just dont have a need for a huge military.

Still in. Not staying active duty Marine when it's all done. Right now I'm sitting at my parent's house, on leave, watching the sun set. I like it too much. There are aspects of the military I enjoy, but not enough to stay active duty. The Marine Corps has also fucked me too many times contractually to give them anything else.

There were dreams of it, but I'm not a strong swimmer. Level 3, failed level 2. In the back of mind during level 2, struggling with it, I'm thinking fuck I can survive with the shit I learned from levels 3 and 4. Let them write the equipment off as a combat loss. Doing anything else besides unit deployments, which I should be on in a few months, would add time onto my contract. Basicly I'm just biding my time.

Big Buck was recon. Haven't seen him in a few years on these boards though.
