well, actually, I see it as a sort of charity work and something that helps the male in the relationship cope. I think of it this way: he's at work, wife calls and the kids are crying in the background, bring home some milk and remember to get the dry cleaning, etc. He goes back to work, the boss yells about something. He's got yardwork all day saturday and those dreaded 'honey do's' list to dealwith.
