Ok Car Nerdvigs... What do you guys think of BMWs?

US vehicles are shit. Nuff said.

If you drive a BMW, no one will ever give you a break in traffic. Everyone will just assume that you're a douche. But they're good enough to put up with the stigma.

In Europe, Audi is kind of taking over the douchebag stigma from BMW, but I don't think that widespread hatred of Audi drivers has taken hold in the US yet.

An M6 would be completely wasted unless you're an experienced performance driver. You'd be better off with a 650i or even a 540i.

Lexus is for people who don't care about cars.

I have a Viper and a Duramax Diesel. Nice looking but compared to the ride of our Beamer is night and day

Wut personality is the RR for

BMWs probably have the nicest ride out of any of the German luxury sedans. You can tell that they put painstaking detail into how the torque band affects the driving experience. The ride is super refined - the cars extremely well balanced weight wise (notice how the front and rear brake rotors are nearly the same size - not common with most cars). That being said, its not uncommon to deal with minor annoyances like lack of cupholders, strange intermittent issues with electrical systems (not everyone gets these). At least the service warranty covers everything. You would probably experience more issues with the Range Rover from a reliability standpoint.

The Mercedes feels like a heavier car and looks like it appeals to a slightly older crowd. Ive heard that Mercedes has the highest reliability of German cars.

Audi - I cant say much about them except they are gaining steam. The interiors have a gaudiness to them that feels slightly American car to me. Might be worth a test drive.
