Off day diet

Anyone have any recommendations on what to eat on my off-day? I have the right stuff for training days & i'm already getting results, I just don't want the food I eat to get played out quickly as I think it would make it harder to eat & i'd feel like I need to change my diet up. I'm training for muscle mass mostly.

well if your bulking i recommend 1.5 - 2gs of protein per your bodyweight. a lot of chicken, salmon, red meat, tuna, eggs, milk, cottage cheese on your off day. you'll get some anabolic gains from eating red meat on your off day. just make sure to eat a lot on that day.

also, whats your current diet, bodyweight, bf%, and goals?

On non training days you should eat high protein (as you would normally) and lower carbs. Not LOW carbs, but lower from training days because you aren't as active and your body doesn't need as many carbs as it would on training days.

U need to still eat big on an off day as your body is repairing and growing from the prev days workout. No rest for the wicked bro...LOL

this is your answer just cut the carbs a little. i drop from 1100g to 800g.

keep your protein constant and carbs high on training days

on non training days taper your carbs to the evening(restrict your carbs towards the night)

and that should be it bro

cheers

this seams to be against the norm but i eat at least 100g of carbs with every meal including the one that i eat in the middle of the night. on training days i eat and drink 100g of sugar before i leave the gym and then my post w/o meal 1 hour later has 200g carbs 40 simple and 160 complex. on non training days that same meal as my post w/o anly has the 100g and i dont have the 100g of sugar that i do at the gym. that is the only difference for me. and most of my protein is beef on both days.
