Hollywood is drug city. When an actor has to get buffed for a part, and I stress "HAS TO", they hire a personal trainer to get them into shape. ie: gear Actors are supposedly lazy shits.

Denzel Washington blows up pretty big in that one fight movie. How bout Cuba Gooding, or Jamie fox? Marky Mark was tiny in Boogie nights and is now looking big again. Huge in Basketball Diaries. Good movie by the way! How bout that one guy in the fast and the furious, he's also been in a couple other good movies one about being a stock broker can't remember da name.

Just curious about Angela Bassett when she played Tina Turner? That girl was solid. More recently she's still built but more beefy.

i know i am bumping an old post here by our sassy but i remember the to-do about angela bassetts appearance when this movie came out. in hindsight it seems really weird that tina, who was a young black girl from the ghetto in the 50s, would be all ripped and sinewy.

was tina turner EVER that lean and buff? even in her 80s heyday? she was always supposed to be a "sex symbol" but has any guy really ever found her hot? talented maybe, but she always had those huge thick legs.

angela bassett is very talented but you would think the director would want a more realistic looking tina turner.
