Obama rings up Limbaugh’s ‘slut,’ Georgetown’s Sandra Fluke

That's really the final word here. And piss on georgetown for keeping their little no BC regs secret till the students are already signed up.

"Fluke came to Georgetown University interested in contraceptive coverage: She researched the Jesuit college’s health plans for students before enrolling, and found that birth control was not included. “I decided I was absolutely not willing to compromise the quality of my education in exchange for my health care,” says Fluke, who has spent the past three years lobbying the administration to change its policy on the issue. The issue got the university president’s office last spring, where Georgetown declined to change its policy."

So she's not just bitching now for the sake of bitching. She's actually do e real work to try to change a policy. Whether you agree with her or not, I doubt any but maybe a coue people around here would be willing to do.

yeah but she still needs to STFU. its a catholic univ, what would make her think she could get them to change their minds?

Who says its wrong for A Catholic Univ to decide whether they will cover birth control or not?

I'm not saying them having a choice is wrong; I'm saying the choice they make is wrong. It's quite frankly, asinine. It makes no goddamn sense. As is their entire belief system.

Right. It doesn't make sense because you (and me) aren't Catholic. I totally believe in the use of BC obviously, but I also believe its up to a private Catholic Univ to not provide it if they so choose. That's their right, whether I agree with their decision or not.

That's why this country is shit everyone thinks they're entitled to something no matter the circumstances. We live in a country based off mememe.

I'm not debating that. I think they're stupid. Not even because of beliefs. Their belief in a magical invisible man in the sky doesnt bother me. It makes fiscal sense to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

I agree with Smurf that it is their right not to cover birth control as it is her right to try to convince them otherwise.

I was raised catholic and this is one of the reasons I rarely go to church these days. I live in a town with 30% teen pregnancy, mainly hispanics that are going to Catholic church preaching no birth control.

I honestly believe in my lifetime the Catholic Church will come out and say birth control is a good thing. They tend to be about 100 yrs behind.

I know this is a big prediction based on my advanced age, but I think the math is there.

aww... How cute. A flurry of links from an atheist website and the Huffington post.

who would have expected that from you?

haha i link your ass up and you feeble back with this...who would have expected that from you? :lmao: x100

you are so full of dogshit, up to your ears in it.

so good for her for at least bringing it to attention to the students that georgetown ain't coverin some shit and not tellin you. I really don't understand why uni's are offering health care in the first place....it doesn't seem their place, am i wrong on that? And then requiring students to either buy from them or get outside policies that at least match what georgetown offers....doesn't this sound exactly like what you all bitch about the govt for doing? So some woman who wants birth control covered lowers her coverage in something else and i'll bet that policy gets rejected by Georgetown. This is all a moot point if Georgetown receives state and federal subsidy's.

Again - how has this been handled in majority-Catholic countries that also have socialized medicine? If I recall correctly, Italy and France do have contraception coverage, and Ireland does not.

Those aren't "Catholic" countries. They are countries with a lot of catholics -- huge difference.

And I'll ask again:

If a 30 week pregnant mom decides she's not ready to be a mom and wants a partial birth abortion, should insurance carriers be mandated by law to cover it?

This issue has nothing to do with socialized medicine though. It's about a private catholic univ excluding birth control as a covered service. The question should be, what are other private catholic univ doing in this country. I've not researched it, but my guess is that they also don't cover it.

yeah - you will have to explain that one. Is the Vatican the only Catholic country by your definition?

DB is trying to confound the idea of a catholic country versus a country with a lot of Catholics.

It's like saying the US is a Christian country -- it simply isn't.

Your buddy Boehner would probably choke slam you for that comment. Santorum would slap your mouth instantly.

At the end of the day it should all come down to economics and freedom of choice. People can work nag go to school where they get the best insurance coverage. Insurance companies should gladly cover birth control because it is cheaper than birth.

Boehners only church is the Golf course.
Santorum is a super pussy... My $ is on Squidly...... Sad to say...

if it was a real fight sure...but squids would instantly drop to his knees and offer oral service if either of those men were cross with him.

Is the medication excluded no matter what? Are women with other issues that make them need to use contraceptives also denied?

Correct. But they can go to planned parenthood, they can choose to pay out of pocket, or they can use a different private insurance plan that does cover it. So, there are options.

I was just at a gas station, where .50 would get you a condom from the restroom.

I get that part(I guess), its just mind boggling to me that those medically necessary medications can be denied based on what in those cases is more of a side effect.

How many did you pick up?

I didn't get any. If I needed them I would've got them. I don't need them if I'm not f***ing everyone I meet. That's what that girls problem is, be proactive, don't be a whore.

How many people is she fucking?

Dont know, maybe someone should ask her. To refer to her as a slut would imply more than one. Maybe if she would've specified she just wanted contraception because she's with a guy and they both agreed that now is not the time for children, then it probly wouldn't have been that big a deal. But people want attention, if anything she's probably a virgin but just loves attention. An attention whore.

This is the first time I have seen that. Thank you for sharing. No, I am not an idiot, just basing my thoughts on the topic of this thread and what I have read beforehand.

maybe i'm confused, but why isn't she asking the bf(s) for the birth control? If they're too poor, then maybe she's dong a lousy job of picking guys.
