oatmeal pancakes

i had one of these today, and i honestly thought i was cheating on my diet.

1cup of oats - blend untill powder.
add 4 egg whites and blend untill a liquidy sludge (also add sugarfree sweetner if desired)

pour onto a frying pan for about 30 seconds, then flip.

these cook very fast, and flip easy because theyre alot denser than normal pancakes.

i like mine with lime squeezed on the top with splenda.

give it a try, for me it equated to 50g carbs and 20g protein.

enjoy!

holy shit these rocked except i used to weight control oatmeal with only 1 g sugar and the flavor was banana bread they were delicious, great recipe mang

I have made those before but with this ratio.

1/2 cup oats
250 ml of egg whites (small carton)
1 scoop of vanilla whey
2 packs of splenda

then top with 2 tbsp of sugar free yogurt strawberry or blueberry

OR /

1/2 cup oats
250 ml of egg whites (small carton)
1 scoop of vanilla whey
2 packs of splenda
1 tbsp of cinnamon

then top with 2 tbsp sugar free apple sauce

carbs : 35
protein: 55

Also I used spray pam so the fat was 7g, i like to spray a lot :)

Great recipe, I used a packet of the Quaker Weight Control oatmeal (maple and brown sugar flavor), which has like 1 g of sugar, mixed with 1/8 cup of plain oatmeal and 2 egg whites. It actually comes out like a real pancake. The only problem is that I think by grinding up the oats, you are effectively killing the slow digesting effect of oats, meaning you won't be as full for as long a time. Though you're probably better off sticking to regular oatmeal, these oatmeal pancakes are definitely an upgrade over typical pancakes.

A good way to avoid that is to pre-make your meal in a bowl and let the oats soak overnight, then fry it up. :)
