Nutritionally Retarded *lol*

I've been eating disordered for most of my life. Food was an enemy for a long time...

I'm trying very hard to get back into healthy eating patterns.

My goal is to lose body fat (which is pretty high at the moment, like 21%) and to gain muscle (but not look like HULK WOMAN).

I've seen a nutritionist  and they just don't understand what I'm trying to do. I guess they don't "deal" with potential body builders.

So what is my best bet to lost body fat and increase muscle?

I'm 25. A mother of one (with the hopes of having more) and I'm not looking to be in competitions or anything... I just want to look good naked! ;)

I'm on a 3 day cycle with weights (day 1 legs, day 2 chest, shoulders and tris, day 3 back and arms) and I run about an hour every day.

I hope this is enough information. There are so many diets on here, but I can't figure out which would be the best for me.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated (karma-wise).

i hear you about the disorder, i have a friend who has it bad and i gotta admit im a bit obsessive too. One thing to do is try not to focus on the food side too much
write down what foods you like that you know are good for you and stick with them
for me that would be
oats
shrimp
chicken
brocolli (yes i love the stuf lol)

to lose fat and increase muscle aint easy but maybe you should look at the body for life approach, it's nicely laid out with useful pointers and a sensible eating plan.
also allow yourself to eat freely once or twice a week without guilt. Jst keep telling yourself you've taken 6 steps forward 1 step back

as bill philips says in his book concentrate on consistency rather than perfection

Who Doesnt!

Most diets that keep your calorie totals right and have you eating small portions every 3 hours will work. I suggest checking out the Womens forum on this one. They are very good and will be able to identify with your problems a little better I imagine.

Good advice BA, the body for life program has helped alot of people.
