The way I see it, if it's hackable, someone is hacking it. Downloading MP3s without paying is illegal and immoral but who here can say they've never done it; it's just too damn easy.

And data mining for marketing purposes is already well underway and only going to get worse.

The government can eavesdrop on my edoings all they want. The day that information obtained without a warrant becomes admissible in court against me is the day I will balk.

It's already admissible.

One of the things Barry did years ago when he super sized the domestic spying program was to declare information admissible even if it was "unintentionally" collected on a US citizen in the routine course of operation.

notice to marketers...make me smile or chuckle and i'll probably buy your shit...or at the very least, not stop buying it...but, if your commercial includes crunching noises, swallowing noises, typewriter noises, glug-glug-glug (pouring shit from a bottle) noises, etc...i'll never buy your shit or i'll drop you like a hot potato. i'm not sure what psychological buying trait they've identified that makes them believe that is an effective tool but, i'm here to tell you, that shit annoys the fuck outta me.

As any good salesman can tell you...people buy the sizzle, not the steak. Zoom in on a thick steak on the grill, grease popping and people are reaching for their wallets...that meat could be last weeks road kill.
