So it isn't enough that they get all the emails anyway, they also infiltrate their servers as well.

Snowdon is a downright hero. I was skeptical at first, but now there's no doubt in my mind.

Every single person involved in this debacle should be tried just as if they had done the eavesdropping as private citizens. Hundreds if not thousands of people should go to prison over this.

Furthermore, consider for a moment the reactionary propaganda we got hit with when he bolted. Remember the whole "he's gonna cost americans their lives" and similar bullshit? Had nothing to do with any of that, they knew this stuff about us spying on our closest allies was going to come out. This is why they were pissed, they just tried to sell us on the traitor narrative. These revelations will likely cost american business overseas.

The NSA saved lives by tapping the German Chancellors phone? That's a stretch bro. If you have evidence someone is a terrorist and you tap their communications, that's fine. This catch net they're throwing out is going to get us embargoed if more comes out.

In times of war I don't thing there are any rules. I may not agree with everything our gov does but I feel we do what we need tondo to keep is all safe at all costs.

Similar to the abortion thread I would think along the same lines of redsam's thinking in that thread - he doesn't think abortion is right but agrees with freedom of choice for the individual. I don't agree with what our gov does sometimes but I believe we need to do what it takes to keep our country safe and sometimes it involves a little dirty work - so be it.
