One instance, involving two people total, over a personal issue between the two. Not quite a bunch of random box cutter killings involving x amount of children.

I believe the president should lead on this one.

Let's have a two mile gun-free zone maintained around the president at all times. It would be a federal crime for anyone (even secret service, military or FBI) to have a gun within that radius -- with a mandatory 25-year prison sentence. It should even apply when he travels abroad.

Think about the message that would send. It's a great chance to show leadership.

Imagine the cost savings if we had the two-mile no-gun rule for the president. The secret service wouldn't even have to screen people through metal detectors at events. They could just walk right in since they couldn't have a gun on them in the first place.

It would be a huge time and money saver.
