Today I talked to three different oncologic surgeons especiallized in urology. This is what they told me:
- NONE have seen ( they are experienced doctors) prostatic ADENOCARCINOMA in youngsters.Usually, in younger ages, the histologyc type is different from the so called hormone dependant tumor. Yes, it is hormone dependant, but which?
- Older people WHO HAS A GENETIC PROPENSITY develop cancer after test levels are lower, and CARCINOGENIC INHIBITOR FACTORS cease to function due to age.
- Although finasteride diminishes size in benign prostatic hypertrofy, it's effect in cancer is still to be determined.
- Apparently, prostate starts to grow because of the lack of hormone or a possible alteration in the estradiol/testosterone ratio.
- BPH and cancer ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
- With data available today, IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DETERMINE if exogenous administration of testosterone could cause prostate cancer in young people ( I specifficaly asked for that)
- We will meet again to discuss a protocol investigating testosterone hormone replacement in andropause and possible use of anti 5 alfa and anti aromatase to PREVENT enlargment of prostate.
_ I think that following the general sense of cycling with health consciousness is the way to go. I don't think we should panic over this. But is wise to know very well every possible enemy.
Peace
