nolvadex: good or bad??

Hey MS.. that was great info.. thanks alot.. so now you got me even more curious about armidex.. if it inhibits which is more than just blocking, it could work on women with a higher bodyfat... just thinking out loud..

So the next question is: ANYONE HAVE INFO ON ARMIDEX OR HAVE USED IT???

I am also interested in first hand experiences. From a breast cancer treatment point of view, Arimidex is not used in premenopausal women because the high levels of circulating estrogen manufactured by the active ovaries overwhelms the therapeutic benefit of suppressing the synthesis of aromatase. Arimidex is mainly used to stop the synthesis of estrogen in peripheral adipocytes/liver of POST menopausal women. So, on paper at least, Arimidex may not make THAT big of a difference for women with intact and functioning ovaries.

I used nolvadex without combining it with any other substances to prep for a contest several years ago and the experience was not a positive one. While on, I did get leaner, yes. The problem was when I came off of it and the body starting receiving the estrogen.. I think it actually made me store MORE fat than before(in all the same areas bc pills effect ie hips, butt) because my body recognized an imbalance or deficiancy, I believe. If you use it, it would probably be wise to cycle off of it slowly.

damn.. so that makes sense.. that which gets blocked or shuts down, when able to fully function might probably work overtime. That is definitely something to be careful about and the reprocussions from that might not be worth the slight gains..

Damn girls.. this is what i was looking for.. please keep it coming!!! Thanks

Nolvadex,

1) The women I have talked to who used Nolvadex for cosmetic reasons were not impressed.

2) One client with a history of breast cancer in the family takes 40 mg/d. It caused considerable fat gain for her and her physician said that this is a common side effect at higher doses. Remember Nolvadex is a mixed agonist/antagonist (i.e., blocks estrogen in some places, acts like estrogen in others).

3) Studies that have looked at body comp changes in women on Novadex have not shown any effects at lower doses.

thank you W6 and to all who have contributed!! I have decided to leave nolvadex at the pharmacy for now.. maybe if i am ever 6% and still dealing with some fat deposits will i consider supplimenting some nolv or arm. Thanks again :)

god i love anavar!!! LOL

I disagree with W6. I have used Novo with excellent results. There is no need to start any earlier then 3 weeks out, start 20-30mg then increase by 10mg. You will get harder, tighter skin, fuller muscles - look like stone. I believe anyone with less then 10% bf (which you should be anyway if your competing) will notice great results.
