so im trying to bulk up without getting to fat. ive been eating unsalted peanuts before going to bed and wen i wake up during the night, is this stupid? should i eat something else like yogurt. i dont want meat or protein drink at night (makes me pee),

Your going to gain some fat when bulking, nobody gains 100% lean...go for a slower digesting protein before bed. Like cottage cheese...my fav. Or oats.
 
swap out peanuts for unsalted almonds. way more healthier.

and if you are trying to build muscle you don't want to go to bed on an empty stomach.. ur muscles during the night are gonna re-generate, you need to feed them while you sleep. I would just wake up and pee and make sure you keep water near the bed and down some water throughout the night..

that too...who cares if you have to take a piss.

I've been gaining 100% lean for the past few months. Granted, the gain is slowly but surely, but I have not gained any fat. I drink casein protein before bed. It will digest through out the night, so your muscles will have enough food, and you won't wake up hungry.

As far as waking up in the night to feed yourself....or even waking up in the middle of the night just to wake up. No way. Quality sleep is fundamental to a healthy body.

I'd just take a drink of water and head back to bed...eating during the middle of the night?! Just there is no time for you to digest it. Are you getting enough to eat for dinner? I don't know maybe it is just me but I would push through the hunger, close your eyes go back to sleep, and eat a good breakfast when you wake up.
 
oh man i wish it was that easy i wake up at night anytime i start cutting carbs, i wake up with absolutely no self control also if its in the fridge its goin in my belly . I was good about cottage cheese during the night only when its the only thing in the fridge. ive been considering jsut taking the needto product need2sleep to see if it helps. i have tried the casein protein but didnt seem to help much. the water next to bed seems like a good idea drink a quck bottle of water before i get up and go to the kitchen see if that helps
