Nice little letter from Customs! God Dammit!!

Hey guys, here's the shitty situation. My roomate (actually friend who is staying with me for a few months), left me this letter to see that he recieved today. I will type i out for you, then I have a few questions what to do. I believe he ordered some paper from the Cat.

THe is the bulk of it.

Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, is currently in possesion of a mail item addressed to you, the contents of which are unknown.

1 LETTER, CONTENTS AND VALUE UNKNOWN

(Heres the catch)
We wish to examine the item, but the act prohibits us from opening mail items that weigh less than 30 grams, without your permission.

Permission to open this item is given when you sign the bottom of the letter. After you have signed it, please return or fax this letter to the address below. If we do not recieve your permission to open the item within 30 days, from the date of this letter, we will return the mail item to the sender. Please Note: the Customs Mail Centre is not open to the public.

Then there is a bunch of signature info, and a fax and phone number. (from Vancouver). I also have a file number with it.

I did not have a clue about the weight issue (30grams). Obviously I am not going to let him send this to them, but even if it is just papervar, do you think that they will be able to tell what it is? I'm sure that it is a fake return addy on it so if it goes back, the source will bite the bullet still.

2. This is his problem, not mine! But ... I am really freaked out now. It was his name on the package, not mine, but ... IT WAS MY ADDRESS!!!

Now ... is this going to fuck me anyhow? Is my address going to be flagged by customs? Meaning if any international package comes for me, will they run a check on my addy and will they automatically open my packs? Also, maybe I am already flagged or something, ... why would they suspect to open a freakin envelope??? Sounds fishy like they knew somehow?

This is going to put a serious dent in my plans if I cant order internationally, I am planning on getting some Var, and Viromones, (only because I can get sucha a good deal, going international) and EQ (can get the kind I want). I really dont want to have to get my whole cycle domestic, especially my Var!!!!! Grrrrr!!!!!!

Can anyone please shed ANY INFO WHATSOEVER! Am I blacklisted by customs now thanks to my fuckin buddy!!!! ( I am gonna kill him if so ... even know its not his fault). Godd dammit ...what shitty news to here today! Please let me know if this has happened to any of you!!

of course have it sent somewhere else though.. but it sounds like you lucked out,.. they really can't do shit if that 30gram thing is accurate
 
but i think there might be some confusion on their part when they send it back after 30 days and it goes to a fake addy!

Ya that is pretty fluky that it was paper and not vials or amps, probably would have exceeded the wait!!!!

Fuck I really dont want to have to use another addy. There is not to many people who would likt ot take on that resposibilty/blame if anything happens, especially after hearing what happened here.

I personally don't belive in flagged addys as I have had stuff seized and resend to the same addy and it got through okay. Because it was not your name on the pack, you should have no problems. There could be many reasons it was seized (holidays and higher security, the place it was coming from could be why, just ramdon ??) I personally have no idea how it works so those are just pure guesses. Get your buddy to show a copy of the letter to the source and maybe they can work something out. If you really feel unsafe about geting stuff sent to your house then open a PO box

get a box. dont sign the paper. just throw it away. i got a similar letter about GH. they said i had to fax them a script for it or they would send it back to the sender.
 
Don't sign anything bro, just wait it out. If they send another letter dump it in the trash also, and yes they met flag that address. Good luck
 
Thanks guys! Mustang ... did you even get it sent to them addy AND same name? I would assume that they would flag the addy before the name.

I never thought about getting a PO box, is it easy to get one through mailboxes etc/?? That must be how so many of you hide the juice from your wifes/g-friends! hahaha.
 
Im not to woried about my friend and his package, Im sure that it will be resent (if it can now), just dont want to be flagged!! Maybe I will get my cousins in Spain to send me a test package with something wrapped in a whole roll of ductape as a tet to see if they open in up.

I got it sent to the same addy and used a diffrent name but since have stopped using that one :) PO boxs are easy to get and a lot of the time they don't ID you

mailboxes DOES require two peices of ID to open an account. but they are a privately owend business, and will cannot give out info about your box to anyone, even cops.
 
damm customs, ive had a order siezed in my past, but im to nervous to have another international order sent here again.ill just keep being raped by the domestic boys.
 
Hey alltraps, ya ... I have looked into a PO box ... there are many better "private" comapnies that offer the same thing as MBE, but more descrete and better prices! You need ID to open an account, but they will sign all packages for you, and you can pick them up after business hours. Think that I am going to go with something like this instead of taking the risk or ordering strictly domestic. Call it paranoia or whatever I guess..

CDN customs has snagged my NYC stack multiple times from the USA, but lets auxiliaries from the UK come through fine. For some reason I think packages coming from the US are scrutinized more.
 
get a large po box, so and have all packages shits USPS and since th po box is big enough, they just slip the gear in the box and u dont have to sign for it..........and then pick it up when office hours arent there....IE late nite when no workers are there

MBE is great, they sign for all my packs and even call me when something arrives. i also have a key that opens the front door, so i can pick up my shit at 4am, just in case....:evilking:
 
This idea that MBE can't give your info to the police is absolutely false.

MBE will cooperate with the police very easily. They are even known to call the police if there if they notice anything suspicious.

A friend of mine had 6 cop cars waiting for him about 2 years ago for a large pack coming from overseas (and I mean large)

It's a good thing the employee he was paying off tipped him off. His box was also under a fake name/address.

There are a few places that do not require ID (the closest one to me is 3 hours away)
 
Hey BA, good info bro!

Where you have you been lately? Ya .. it seems like the private smaller malibox places in the phonebook are much more discreet. MBE is a major chain, they do not want to take risks.

I have found a place that will sign for any pack. If it wont fit into the MB, they will leave a key and place it in a larger storage box for me to pick up after hours. About half the price of MBE too.

The 30g weight only pertains to envelopes. Customs is trying to crack down on counterfit/illegal document trafficing.

I wouldn't worry...it's Canadian Customs...they have better things to do then keep track of American addys. Now if it were American Customs you might want to reconsider ordering international.

Most good sources have a policy for situations like this. Let them kow what happened, forward the letter and they should hook you up.
