So I hear they are saying Houston will take Bush and NO is going with Leinhart. That leaves this huge Titans fan with a 3rd pick in the draft. There is this qb out of the University of Texas that is pretty good, I wonder if Jeff has heard about him? The Titans only have 3 players over 6 years on the roster this year, one of them is the QB. Don't get me wrong, I love McNair but deal that mofo Jeff and lets put up the most dominating team in the AFC again!

I like Fisher

So do I.

But I cannot explain why the Titans suck. Seriously, is it their defense? I thought Volek was good...that guy puts serious points on the board.

i agree, im not sure the titans problem is at qb

New Orleans will trade down to get either multiple picks or a pick and another player/piece to all the holes they have on that team. they need a qb (gave up on brooks this year by benching him), need a wide reciever (joe horn is breaking down and getting older) and some holes on defense.

Dont be surprised if new orleans trades down with either the jets or maybe titans. Both want Lienert like yesterday.

They have talent at the skill positions, no doubt. Their defense needs an upgrade.

aren't the Titan's the youngest team in the leaque?
that explains much
and I don't know if it was planned
but it's a damn good time to rebuild while there are so many top notch AFC teams right now
his team will gel when the Pittsburghs and New Englands have faded

That is exactly why they didn't win very much this year. By far the youngest team in the league. Most people don't realize that from 97-03 the Titans had the best record in the NFL, natually they are going to be down now dumping all the cap problems the over last 2 years. One problem for them is Fisher has a contract deal this year, other team want him so who knows.

As far as NO trading down, I don't think so. They have already stated they have a lot of interest in Matt. I'm not a big Volek fan but the Titans will definately come out of the draft well this year.

Keep McNair and draft Young. McNair would make the perfect mentor for him. Work Young in gradually over two years.

that overrated tx qb cant throw a pass. The big 12 and pac ten defenses suck . Watch what he does in the all star games. If he tries to run like that he will be out for the year after the first game. The titans will take jay cutler from vanderbilt

This makes the most sense to me. Use Volek, who I like, as trade bait. Up here in Detroit I am sure they would love a shot at getting him. You could probably get at least a second round pick or maybe more for Volek. McNair will get hurt and Young will be starting by week 4 anyways. Only problem with the Volek thing is he signed a long term deal to be the back up thinking McNair would either get killed this year and retire or they would trade him giving him the starting job. Didn't happen so he will most likely want the trade.

Jeff is a good coach.

I don't like the idea of starting a rookie qb. Have him learn behind an older vet. for a year or two, then let him start. Too many qb's have gotten shell shocked from being thrown to the lions, and never recovered. I wonder if Houston and SF are going to see this happen.

and Matt think's USC could beat the bottom third of the NFL

On the radio today they were talking about NO trading and the Titans wanting Leinhart. Being a Titans fan either way is good but you definately would have a situation you need to work with because you would have 3 qbs that could start in the league on one team. They need Michael Huff I think along with O line guys and maybe a d lineman. I would love to see them pick up a qb and trade volek, I cried when they signed the new contract for him. He is good, just not the guy I want to be cheering for.

Actually Matt has let in be known that he's not interest in playing in N.O.

As far as who N.O. is interested in will depend on the philosphy of their next coach who hasn't been announced yet.

you can't be too rich
too skinny
or have too many starter quality QBs

i hate draft speculations. everything changes on draft day anyway.

No may take young teams could trade up..texas may take young due to the fact he is from there and the fan preasure might get to be to much for the owner...One thing we do know is Bush will be top two most likely one but we shall see on Draft day I do believe young will go 2nd but the running QB thing scares some owners so it's in the air

I'd go for the consensus top wide receiver available
after examining the pysche tests too
I'd rather have the top aerial target than Bush
still though I haven't studied the depth of the talent position by position

No real big threat stud receivers this year. Most are freshman or sophmores as far as top producers this year. Ted Ginn Jr. might have been a top 10 pick had he chosen to come out. He had a crappy beginning to the year so I think that is why he decided to come back.

I think Bush will still go number 1. The interesting story is going to be Lendell White, the other USC stud running back. He finished 10 yards behind Bush with more TD's. He actually fits the mold of an NFL back more so than Bush. Reggie will get killed with the aerial acrobatic shit in the NFL. Very similar to how Young will get killed running like he does.

yeah I wouldn't put millions into either Leinert or Young
