NFL 2001 Predictions and News

the steelers. kordel is finally going to be a quaterback instead of running back and bettis is in the best shape in over 3 years. plus the have the best coach in football

Titans baby!!

You gotta like the titans...they have all the right pieces and they are consistent. I would've have said Ravens but Priest Holmes left and that doesn't give Jamal Lewis much padding for injuries or mistakes...That means they'll be going to the air more...which changes them from a grind it out type of offense too more of a fast strike offense...and I think that this will take it's toll on the defense in the long run...this sort of happen to the titans last year when George got injured...but I believe that they'll be able to pull off the transition this year...the Ravens will have to adjust this year and than maybe they'll be able to have that balance attack they want

Saints / Titans Super Bowl this year. Saints didn't loose any key players and will have one of the best backfields in the NFL, strong defense, solid overall . The Titans lost a few but more than made up for it especially with losing Kenny Holmes then replacing him with Kevin Carter, the defense will be scarier than ever. The opposing defense will still key in on George hopefully giving Mason, Dyson (if healthy) and Wychek an open look down field. There both my favorites along with the Panthers (who have a few years to go) but there rebuilding so I don't expect them to make the playoffs, but they'll come close.

Tennessee put DB Samari Rolle on the physically unable to perform list, not setting a time table for his return. Hurts for them.

Just thought I'd mention that OT from Minn. Vikings Stringer died this morning after suffering a heat stroke yesterday at pratice.

Yep they said he threw up three times on the practice field and got the wind knocked out of him during his last practice. They rushed him to the hospital after from the locker room but was already unconcious and running a 108+ fever. They said he never regained conciousness and died of multiple organ failure. Man that is so sad.

My sympathy to his family . . . R.I.P.

Yeah but he shouldn't be out long.

Chicago will make it in the playoffs as a wildcard with a 10-6 or 9-7 record.

Detroit will finish in the basement of the NFC central.

Tampa Bay vs. Oakland in the Superbowl would be nice.

David Terrell will be rookie of the year.

Brian Urlacher is going to the Pro Bowl again along with Ted Washington.

A-Train will end up starting over Allen.

Deuce McAllister will be the best rookie running back out of the top 3 back from the draft.

Bennett will have a good year.

LT will be a bust.

Vick will be starting by mid-season.

Weinke will be better than most people think at the pro level.

Brees will be a good NFL QB, maybe not this year, but eventually.

Griese is healed.
Terrel Davis is almost healed, but so what, since there're Anderson and Gary.
Smith, Mcaffery and Kaspar at wideout.

Defense is improved, Romo is found not guilty, and Chester McGlockton is only supposed to be out 2 weeks or so.

Denver against anyone one of those NFC teams.

purple people eaters

The Vikings, finally. Every year there is one team of destiny. This year the Vikes will do it for Korey Stringer.

Plus they are loaded with talent and experience. They even found a replacement for Robert Smith in Wisconsin speedster Michael Bennett.

giants finally got a kicker

anderson was the mvp of the giants in the last games against baltimore. they don't have to worry about fg anymore
