St. Louis hits the turf at Dallas

Fresh off a victory last game over Carolina, Dallas will need another victory this week against the Rams to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Sporting a 9-6 overall record and a 3-3 mark within the division, the Cowboys aim to knock the Rams (1-5 in the division) for a loss.

The roadies are big underdogs here, getting 12.5 on the betting line. The Cowboys sport a 7-6-2 ATS record, while the Rams are 4-11. The total opened at 43.

Joe Vitt's troops hosted San Francisco last game and came away with a 24-20 loss, a game that went over 42. Oddsmakers had them as 10-point favorites in that one.

The Cowboys come off a 24-20 win against Carolina, a game where they were 5.5-point underdog. The game went over the closing total of 38.5.

Christmas has already passed, but when it comes to gift giving, St. Louis is charitable with the turnovers. The Rams have turned it over 2.5 times per game this year, rated 30th in the league.

this is tough one to get a handle on
12.5 is large
and the dallas O doesn't often light it up
