New Years K Thread!!!

I've lived in the great white north for most of my life and for the first time ever, hit the ditch today. I caught some black ice on the freeway and hit it at about 70 km/ hr after a couple 360's. I'm so lucky to have walked away but man...I'm hurting tonight! I was lying here thinking...I need some hydros!!

Glad you're ok though. Could have been much worse. I drive 110 miles a day in the snow and ice. Never been in the ditch, knock on wood. Do you have studded tires?

No and that's my first mistake. This is my first winter with this vehicle and I was going to replace it so didn't put them on. It was one of those freak things where the back tire caught some ice and just threw me off. I can usually steer out of those things but was going too fast this time. You're right too...it could have been so much worse! It was on one of the busiest freeways in our city and thank God, there was no one around at that moment.

110 miles a day is A LOT!!

Its 110 total 55 each way. Gives me time to get some coffee in me in the morning. And time to unwind before I get home. Its not so bad. Hated it at first. But now its just part of life.
