new to oatmeal!!

wow...ummm

buy a big container of old fashioned oats at store. Add 1 cup dry to a large bowl, add 2 cups of water. Put in microwave for 3 - 4 minutes. Let cool. Good carb source.

Flavor with splenda, cinnamon, nutmeg, soy milk, berries, nuts, protein powder, etc...

Oatmeal is great made with skim milk, chopped apple & raisins with cinnamon & splenda. Yum!

Although I've been using the instant plain packets.

This is exactly how I have it, except without the splenda. Microwave it for about 3 mins (but keep an eye on it because if you cook it for too long it will overflow from the bowl).

There's no need to cook it either (it tastes a lot better though). If you don't have time you could just add water to it, mix it in a blender, and gulp it down.

GREAT carb source!

It takes a little more time, but cooked on stove top is so good! It is less sticky than microwave.

exactly what I wanted!! actually I don't have microwave at home. so a stove would be the only option for me. thanks a lot.
